So far so good. 5 songs in, this Eurovision isn't really delivering stuff I'm SUPER OMG hyped about--France is close--but it's really strong so far on its glut of very solid, respectable entries.

It actually is a decent start to the year. I'd say that four out of these five songs are solid. I'm missing though an entry that slays me for the entire three minutes, something to get hyped for. All of the songs currently have things about them I don't enjoy or elements I struggle connecting with. Fortunately Ukraine has been a grower, but France and Lithuania have already started to fade with me a bit.

2021 isn't bad so far and it's still very early days. I'm missing a hype song though and I doubt any of the remaining NFs will give me one (except maybe Italy). I'll be putting my hope into the internal choices, specifically my returning favs from 2020. I think most of the entries so far are good but I don't love any of them. I don't have a strong urge to go back and listen again to these songs really.
