Changed from 7 to 10! And now I have to put it in my top 10! It grew on me so much and I don't know which one will be out of my top 10! :?

this is in my top 2, can't decide between this one and Croatia. great song, is the singer by any chance an actress as well???

Ok... she has done it (took her about a week)... but she jumped over Spain to become my personal favourite.

I like the song better the more I hear it... which is great! (last entry from Germany I would have placed #1 at Eurovision dates back to 1987 :shock: )

Muireanne, you really need to drop that schmaltzy ballad from Norway in your ranking. That'd vastly increase your coolness factor! :) Being Irish, you're of course excused for liking that rather unremarkable Kavanagh-ballad. :p

Perhaps you might also give the Estonian Siren a chance. You've got (apart from the obvious offenders) a fairly contemporary sounding list. So the absence of Estonia is quite conspicious.

Lass die Sonne in dein herz....schick die Sehnsucht himmelwaerts....good times. not that I really could watch it back then but I remember my dad loving that song singing it all the way into the 90's :)


But I'm with you on that one. At first I kinda liked the song (wasn't too much of a fan) but now I really like it. It actually entered my personal Top 10.

No, she's just an ordinary 18-year-old pupil who is taking her A levels in April, just one month before the ESC.

Norway isn't in my ranking dear... only at #22 in my overall ranking (which is even behind the Netherlands :lol: And for Estonia... sorry, but really don't like it that much (being Irish or not)... but I'll give it another chance on the actual live-performance in ESC ;)
About the Irish ballad... I'm not as much a fan of the song as I am of Niamh (she's a great vocalist... and a wonderful person).

I must agree with LuvOhLuv she somehow seems an actress to be honest (in my opinion she looks a lot like Elaine Cassidy - who is in fact an Irish actress... which could explain the strange accent Lena is singing in... only problem: Elaine is 30 years old... Lena apparently only 18)... we'll never know for sure I guess ;)

I agree... though I didn't understand much of the German (since I'm not custom with the language that is) she seemed pretty down to earth... always nice to see that in an artist.

Those are the reasons why she won the national contest. She's not that typical vanilla casting show girl with huge b**bs, smiling dumb into the cam, singing the mandatory Mariah Carey song heard 1000 times before etc. :D
She doesn't mince matters, is glibly, got the highest German graduation and most of all: she's got her OWN unique style, which admitted may not be noticed within 4 minutes in the ESC :?

She's a nice girl (the girl next door as you wish)... If her performance on the night it matters is any good I see Germany reaching the top-3 of (if not win) the contest. Finally some fireworks (not literally) from Germany. Thx!
