Oh yeah, that was a great performance. Back then she was not yet exhausted
One could clearly see that it was all becoming too much for her towards the end. Luckily the ESC is only in ~10 weeks!

Well, being on an Idol kinda show is exhausting, so even though she'll be singing the song A LOT over the upcoming months, at the sime time she'll get more and more comfortable with it.
In addition, she no longer has to worry about having to impress millions of viewers on a weekly basis (that is quite a lot of pressure) so I am confident Lena will kick some major butt.

cool! I've just seen an article about Lena in "KP" - the biggest newspaper in Russia, Belarus' and Ukraine.
It promotes ESC every year.

France's song is not yet known but judging by the artist and his typical musical style it is gonna be awful.

omg... i now downloaded the track "satellite" via itunes. and i am really falling in love in it.
this is pretty weird to me since i normally hate the results of german "casting shows" ("deutschland sucht den superstar" = "american idol" - german version etc.) and most of the time i can not relate to any tunes for the eurovision contest.
last year i really liked armenia, because it was far more interesting than the usual pop-stuff and it reminded me of "the knife" (an experimental electro-band from sweden).
this year i would vote for the german act, if i could. i have not seen another favorite i could vote for. for personal reasons i would tend to israel, but i haven't heard their final song yet.
this time i will be watching, sweating, keeping my fingers crossed and so on.
i hope that you esc-friends from other countries are able to watch the lena-experience already:

It's good. But not outstanding. She is copying Lily Allen a bit(she's doing it great ), and i like the way she performs the song. She's really enjoying it. Though it lacks something.

I predict the middle of the scoreboard for this.

that disappoints me a bit. in terms of music i like, "satellite" is no 12-points-song, but i have never seen any song on the "esc" which would match this benchmark anyhow.
obviously my personal musical taste (indie, alternative, experimental) doesn't count anyway.

for what i have experienced at esc-shows so far, i would certainly give this a 10 or 12 point-rating.
i really think the review would be the same if it came from some other country, since i am not patriotic at all.
i consider myself as a cosmopolitan human being. you won't see me waving any national flag. israel perhaps, since i have some friends there i dearly love (i am an agnostic, former-catholic man, by the way). that's all.

I'm half-British. I do think her English is very good. About as good as one can reasonably expect from a non-native speaker.

I think she's got a cockney-esque accent coupled with a charming but unobtrusive German inflection. The vowels in part remind me of Scandinavian female vocalists. Think Maria Mena. It makes for a charming, stylish and sophisticated mix with that hint of mystery... It's called "art".

I must say that initially my favourite in the German ESC-contest was Kerstin Freking (a singer that has similar qualities as Anna Bergendahl), yet Lena also consistently wowed me. Her "Foundations", "Red Shoes" or "My Same" performances were smashing successes. And so was her "Mr. Curiosity".

A real gem. One cannot commend Mr. Raab highly enough for giving young artists outside of the commercial mainstream a big platform. And as Lena proves, you can succeed with a highly individualistic and avantagarde-esque touch. How refreshing to have such an act at the ESC! Kudos also to Estonia for pulling off a similar feat.

The video has just been previewed on Raab's show ... and it really sucks big time, it was produced just a few hours after the show and you clearly see that. It's just Lena dancing and singing against a dark background.
But whatever, the vid isn't important anyway.
