Ok, so gotta admit, kind of disappointed with Eyjaa. Very nervous start. And strange stage show.

The lyrics are a bit cringe to me, as is the performance and the song stays rather flat. Not a fan of Eyjaa. It shouldn't have to be dead on arrival when going to ESC tho, but borderline qualifying I guess is the best they could do based on this.

Micky clearly the best singer so far.

Beside :ie:, :dk: is probably the country that lost track in the clearest way possible during the past few years at Eurovision - unfortunately.

You can see this quite well when a performance like "I was gonna marry him" is one of the favourites to win....
Blah.

Now a classic happy Eurovision song from Maia Maia. Will her vocals hold? And the finishing high note?

Song 3: Micky Skeel – "Glansbillede"
Now for a livelier song. It's not bad, the chorus is reasonably catchy, and best of all it's in Danish (it's nice to hear a song in a country's native language). Micky got a good voice and sang well. Looking at an English translation of the lyrics, I'm mystified as to the significance of lines like "I didn't make it to the gym today" and "And an earthquake starts from a safety pin". The flame effects also mystify me; what have they got to do with what the song is about? If this wins tonight, I have my doubts as to how well this will do in the ESC Semi-Final in May.

Maia definitely needs a new dress. Vocally she is so-so. The song is a cute bop and I liked her performance visually (- that ugly dress).

My favorite song of the night so far although the live-performance could be better

I liked her outfit a lot. In fact there are no artists tonight whose outfit I didn't like.

Song 4: Maia Maia – "Beautiful Bullshit"
Well firstly, the title "Beautiful Bullshit" concerns me (I had a shock when I saw this title whilst watching the preview videos this afternoon. I didn't think the word "Bullshit" will be allowed at the ESC. For now, it's quite a lively catchy country song. For some reason, Maia Maia reminds me of Carola who represented Sweden more than once in the past. Maia Maia has a beautiful voice, and sang well. If it wasn't for the title, I'd probably put this top of my ranking so far, but I'm inclined to mark it down for the title.

It will be called "Beautiful B.S." if it wins. Which it probably doesn't.
