Denmark and Iceland haven't sent a good song since 2013. Higher Ground is slightly above the low average of recent years, however Denmark (and Iceland) seem stuck in playing it very much by the book. One unoriginal attempt after another. Songs that were already boring 20 years ago. No ideas?
Oooooooooooooooooooooooo…thank you Denmark, finally I can support you again, have just checked performance, what a great dark pirate theme..I don’t mind vocals here, they are not that bad as some ppl say..they are all right for this entry…I’m so glad of all these craps Denmark has chosen this in the end..
Time has come .. finally gonna comment on this entry xdrool
Trashy song, super cliché and on top of that a rather weak live performance. Nothing here that makes me wanna see or hear it again till May. I usually give at least one point for particapting but in this case straight into the bin with Denmark.
First and hopefully last 0 of the year. #HipFloOut
I tried to like this, I really tried, but I just can't feel nothing for this song other than almost hate.
It's so filled with clichés and it's trying way so hard to be something epic but it actually goes nowhere and builds up to nothing. That "ohohoh" out of nowhere in the middle of the song is the climax of the pretentiousness of this entry. It's like they tried to follow that "Love love peace peace" recipe for a Eurovision win, it just feels so fake.
Denmark goes straight to the bottom of my list, and it's a shame because I actually liked most of the songs on this NF.
I was disappointed Sannie didn't win until I saw her performance. She was quite weak live. The only thing I liked about it were the two main male backing singers, I mean wow. But Rasmussen's song is much much better and I'm delighted it won! I don't think it'll qualify though
The right song won imo.. I actually dig this song, it fills every Eurovision cliche but those cliche's are what made me fall in love in Eurovision in the first place.
Reaching higher ground here. Nice production. It is like a Viking anthem. It is in English, but at the same time it feels Danish. Furthermore, it fits this year's aquatic theme.
