I can see Switzerland doing a Giancula although maybe not top 10. I'm not sure what the juries will think of the song. Austria has been climbing the odds slowly but surely and Malta I think is in with a chance. Ireland also could sneak into the top 10 as well as the Netherlands and Estonia (xpuke). Ukraine may gain some sympathy votes

No matter what people say, Sweden won't flop. It will be up there in the top 10, probably the top 5. Azerbaijan will do nowhere near as well as they have in the past although, I'm sure they will qualify. I still can't see Armenia as a winning song and with the response last night, I'm doubting its success. I don't understand all this hype around Montenegro. I know Serbia did well a couple of years ago but most of the ex Yugoslavian block is gone so Montenegro won't be gaining votes from their. Romania too won't do as well as they did in 2010.

It's a difficult year to predict so any of the above could be wrong

I hope Georgia is a dark horse too!

I believe they can be. Maybe just outside the top 10.

I didn't include Russia in my prediction as everyone knows in their hearts that we are going to Moscow next year xyes

Even Robin Stjaernberg was predicted Top 5/Top 10 and crashed.

Sinced when was Robin predicted to do that? He was like 15th in the odds and the OGAE voting, and he didn't do well at all in fan polls either!

Dark Horses
:ee: Estonia - Such an underrated song imo. It could score well with both the televoters and the juries, if the performance is as good as the one in EL.

:ma: Malta - Malta once again is a dark horse. This song is in my opinion superior to their previous efforts, so I think they can do better than those songs. Maybe not a top ten, but a top 15.

:it: Italy - A strong song, might get in the top ten with an amazing performance.

:il: Israel - Same as Italy.

:ie: Ireland - Same as the previous two

Flops
:ua: Ukraine - I can't see this entering the top ten, as the bookies suggest. I'd say Ukraine might get sympathy votes, but not enough to score that well, as the song lacks a lot. But who knows, Ukraine is a powerful country in stage presentations.

 Norway - And to think that many people said this was going to be the sure winner of the ESC 2014. Please. The song is not bad, but it lacks that extra oomph. Might not finish in the top ten.

:be: Belgium - The bookies suggest this might do a top ten, but I seriously doubt it. Might flop very hard in the final. A bit too strange.

I forgot to mention that Germany are definitely a dark horse as well. I don't realise just how overlooked their entry is by Eurovision fans. At first I thought they had a possible winners song. I still think they'll go top 10.

This year could be a good year for the big 5 :D Imagine them all on the left side of the board xheat

It would be nice indeed.. but Germany have the only song of the big 5 that i'm in love with. UK, Italy and France are just ok to me and Spain have my second most dislikable song of the year.

I'd rather if this was a year for all the little and unlucky countries to shine.

You wrote flop for Russia, how that can be flop when they are the last in all polls..flop is somebody who is predicted to do well, but doesn't in the end..

They're not last in odds, polls are irrelevant. xshrug
