"Wow, this is the comeback that the Czech Republic really need. They’ve comeback to the contest with an entry that really says Eurovision. Vocally they are good and the background is really big rotating glass panels which catches the idea of the light. Sure qualifier."

"One of the most secure vocals and most professional performances for sure. The backdrop features those moving mirrors and images inbetween them and it all comes across stylish and elegant. They sing apart for good two minutes before they meet briefly on stage while Marta throws off her shoes and more color comes in the scene, too, and she runs off again. After awhile circling each other like cats in heat they finally embrace for the final note that by Vaclav is rather horrid. Somehow this reminds me of Finland 2007 musically even if the lyrics are totally the opposite really. I hope they will qualify, but it takes awful long time before nothing happens on stage and the intro is kinda slow and long - will people lose interest before they realize this is actually good?"

"To me, the offering from the Czech Republic sounds more interesting than that from Portugal. It probably does not have the most contemporary of sounds; indeed, it reminds me of some of Meatloaf’s power ballads of the 90’s – not necessarily a bad thing of course.
Both due to the song’s characteristic dark tone and the performers’ imposing visual style, I still feel during this second round of rehearsals that there are possibilities that are left unexplored in regards to the presentation. It looks simple but quite elegant to start with but there is something missing. When, in particular, the song reaches its crescendo right before the last chorus, Marta taking off her shoes looks a bit underwhelming – as well as a bit messy – for a gimmick. During the later runs, the shoes are thrown towards the camera and that works a bit better actually.

The two singers, not a couple in real life, look very comfortable with each other on stage. Both singers have exceptional voices and I hope that their physicality will not stand in the way of their vocal ability being recognized. Having said that, Václav’s last note sounds a bit strained time after time this afternoon.

Marta and Václav are some of the nicest people in this year’s Eurovision and their press conference was a blast; Marta in particular stole the show with her spontaneity, honesty and humour. The song is not a definite qualifier (to the extent that Eurovision predictions can be trusted) but I would be so glad if they made it to the final."

"Marta & Vaclav each have big voices. But they aren’t in some sort of nuclear arms race to out-do the other. Instead they manage to make their power blend in the most unexpected way. With their vocals squared away they had time to play with the camera. Marta was sensuous as she rubbed her neck and at times she gave the camera glam slam sex eyes. The pair had greater interplay today, and we could totally feel the sexual tension: At times they touched each other and, indeed, they end the performance head-to-head. Visually the dark clouds that dominate the LED eventually give way to glints of yellow, orange and purple. And as that new dawn comes it’s clear Marta & Vaclav are really enjoying themselves. Throughout their rehearsals they smiled and laughed — and Marta once again threw off her shoes. But she may need them: Increasingly it looks like she’ll be stomping to the final."

As usual, not a word on Czech websites. But they are too busy covering another "Czech Republic vs. The Big World" drama called Ice Hockey Worldcup, where the situation looks like this:

There are 2 "couples" only who have the chemistry; Lithuanians and Czechs. You can see the passion while Marta & Vaclav are performing. Their voices sound great together. Hope they qualify.

Yes, two of my favourites too! Both couples interact really well, but I think that the Czechs have been doing better in the rehearsals.
