I think they made a big mistake. Yes, if you take average votings Cyprus scores at the end all the time. But I think it was a song that had a few people who really stood behind it. And if you can convince your "target group" you can still do much better than an average voting indicates.

One thing that John should have done is he should’ve chosen a better song. This song is so dreary and dull, no wonder John’s heart is now broken. Maybe it’s just me, but I have no time for laments like this. Especially one as soulless as this. I get that it’s full of regret over failings in a relationship. But John puts as much passion and energy into this as the Troika put into putting the interests of the Cypriot citizens ahead of those of the Cypriot banks. It’s not so much that he’s beating himself up over the failings in his relationship but he’s just going “Oops, sori lol”. That’s not enough. If you’re so full of regret that you’re willing to sing in front of a continent about it, then maybe you should actually mean it. I’m iffy on this qualifying. It is in a good position in the semi final, but the song is just DOA.

BTW, I don't mind the revamp at all. In some parts I think they overdid it but I totally get why the felt it was necessary. Still in my Top 5 and that won't change, unless he totally messes up in Vienna.

This was one of the few i couldn't watch till the end in EiC. I know there are people who like this kind, and juries favour it and all, good mummy's boy Tom Dice's style, god knows why, but surely even those must realize they've gone a litle bit too far with this one. Honestly, how more boring can you get? Even Hungary has got more to say for themselves than this. What a drag.

Cyprus was so much better before they decided they wanted to look (and sound) like ireland!

I also think that Cyprus is not chanceless this year. Good position in running order, nice song + if performance won't be bad.

I still love this song although it has lost some of its initial charm to be honest. It sounded more 'natural' in first version, I think they have taken it a bit too far with effects in the new version, especially towards the end. Still one of the best songs this year though, and I think there's a chance for great placing as well.
