Indeed I cannot. I would make some research but if you say the stats don't agree with me I believe you.

But I was really under the impression that the customary 12 and 10 points went on following the same usual routes as before. For instance, and this is out of memory, Andorra gave 12 points to Spain in 2009 when Spain was down there on the bottom, and last year the 12 from Ireland saved the UK from being last. These examples were particularly shocking for me at the time, that's why I remember. But there must be lots more.

The juries can only do so much when it comes to that. Even if the Moldovan jury let's say only gives 3 points to the Romanian song but the televoters give it a whooping 12, when you add it up...in many cases it still gives them the big 12 pointer. But that is a conversation for a different topic as there are so many factors that need to be considered...


But Cyprus deserves a good spot this year, I really really really like that song.

I completly agree! I think she was the best out of all participants and guests performances. I'm glad she will be alone on stage as she said in interview. I feel she will do this right and just give her best without any distractions from her, her performance and voice.

12 points. Perfect song to get out of the so-called "Greek/Cypriot rut of dance-pop" that those countries always seem to be in. Nice build up and nice vocals to match. If early-2000s Celine Dion was Cypriot, you would get this song.

And here comes the major disappointment. When I found out that Despina Olympiou was gonna represent Cyprus I was so happy and sure that she would come with something great that would bring Cyprus back to the top.

But then she comes with this song......... I just have nothing to add, since the song has absolutely nothing to offer, at least for me. I was gonna give some points just for Despina's great voice, but after listening I'm too slept to do it, so it's a zero from me

Minor accident for Despina during the shooting of the music video!

As this article says, Despina fall down today (Sunday) afternoon during the shooting of the music video and this led her to seek care in a private clinic in Limassol. According to the treating physician, she suffered bruising, and after she had a bandage placing, she returned to the shootings of the music video.

The official preview video will be ready within a few days, as well as the English and Spanish version of the song, and some dance remixes from some notable producers.

Nice and classy singer + song from Cyprus ...my only problem at the moment is, that I still can't exactly remember the song anymore, when I listen to a bunch of other entries right afterwards. But, well, it's still early in the year, so... I think, this one might grow on me.
