Toronto-born Neil is one of Canada's living musical legends. As both a soloist and a member of the group Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, his songs and albums have become classics. He was nominated for an Academy Award for the title track to the movie Philadelphia, and in 1995 was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
He won the first Battle of Legends with this country-pop song, the title track to the 1992 album of the same name which went double platinum in the United States and still remains a Canadian classic.
Trivia: Legendary singer Linda Ronstadt did backup vocals on this song.

I'm so happy that this delightful little song managed to win your NF Steph. I totally wasn't expecting it and thought one of the Joni numbers would take it. I also totally wasn't expecting to be supporting a Neil Young song over the Joni Mitchell ones, seeing as I was already a fan of Joni's music. "Harvest Moon" is such a beautiful, calming little song. It was love at first listen for me and now i'm ready to explore the rest of Neil's music. Have been meaning to do so for quite a while. Thank you Steph for sending this song. WV60 marks Canada's 15th entry into WV with esc87fan as lead juror, so Canada's Broadcast Media Consortium (CBMC) has asked Stratford's folk queen Loreena McKennitt to return for another go after a 12th-place finish with "The Mystic's Dream", and she has accepted the invitation. Her song will be chosen after the WV59 final
