Hopefully the colaboration between BNT and bTV will continue. They are handling JESC very well in a manner like never before and the results are already coming - we have tremendously high interest in Junior Eurovision following very good promotion of the event. They will have both day by day coverage from Malta, preview shows and so on. Nice to see peoples enthusiasm for Eurovision being back again

If that's the case, what on earth is the point in these deadlines? They might as well let countries confirm at point until the allocation draw.

That will indeed happen. IMO, these deadlines are only to distinguish the countries that are sure from the ones which have some problems. And that way EBU could have plausible count of participating countries (with only 2-3 countries being not sure), and that is important thing to know, because of the organisation and so on. The strict deadline is the day of allocation draw in January.

According to this report, the Bulgarian broadcaster BNT has not made a final decision on their participation at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, Austria.
While neither withdrawal nor participation can be confirmed, this leaves ESC fans a glimmer of hope of Bulgaria returning to the contest. On October 10th*ESC United reported that the Bulgarian broadcaster decided that they would not be taken part next year. They had previously submitted a preliminary application but decided to pull out within the final deadline.

It now appears that it’ll come down to current political circumstances which are expected to be resolved within the next couple of weeks. At that point BNT*will make their decision whether or not to join the fun in May. The EBU has given the broadcaster an extension to resolve the issues and is awaiting their decision.

According some sources, the deadline extention for BNT is up to END OF JANUARY, as the broadcaster informed EBU that due to the fact there is no government and the parliement is working for only week, there is no approved even draft budget of the country for 2015. That means BNT also has no clue about their money for 2015.

I want chalga, but it has to be some great stuff, catchy with a great performance and they need to pick a singer who can sing otherwise the juries will slaughter them no matter how great the song can be.
