According their statement, BHRT will broadcast Eurovision 2013 semi-finals and final, no matter that they won't participate.

For some reason my eyes missed that link. Even if they're part of a bigger corporation, the actual broadcaster individually still needs to be a EBU member.

No, not only Republika Srpska but whole BiH, it's a national television. But still the can't push back in.

This came as a pretty shocking news to me. I never expected Bosnia out of the contest, and especially not after 7 really amazing years in ESC. Just too bad, was one of my favorite ESC countries. They were always putting a lot of effort in both the singer and the entry selections as well as their promotions. Huge loss for the ESC. Hopefully they return next year.

that's true, they did try many different styles, they had some cheap pop, ballads (some of which were wonderful) and even some unusual entries like Laka...

i also hope they will come back next year.
besides, they have to come back, i already picked them as one of likely winners in next 10 yrs or so :?

Public Bosnian broadcasting service is PBSBH - Public Broadcasting Service of Bosnia and Herzegovina. They have 3 tv stations: BHT tv for whole country, and entity televisions RTRS and FTV. And all 3 are members of PBSBH. I mean last year RTRS broadcasting ESC, World champs in football, Olympic Games..... Simplified it is one television with 3 channels

Bosnia and Herzegovina is probably the most complicated country on Earth so national tv is not exception. I will compare it with Swiss broadcasting service. All 3 channels are under same roof but they have big editorial independence...

I think we have some chances to have Bosnia/Herzegovina in Malmo, because its withdrawal is caused by financial problems and not of low interest about the contest! Maybe EBU will find a solution and keep Bosnia/Herzegovina!

BH is the part of EBU, but since RS is the part of BH, it can organize the whole thing but with BHT's approval. But, it's not likely to happen.

In 2007 there where 2 Independent countries.

Actually its matter of time when it will happen with this level of ignorance. Sadly truth is that both Croats and Serbs in BiH really don't care for State of Bosnia and Hercegovina. And what you think reason is?
