Narh, the showrunners will not put the song at number 1 because usually they will want a high impact song to open the show just to retain the viewers to continue watching. He will likely be put in spots that will be buried by the entries coming before and after him.

Why are Russia and Ukraine low in the betting odds? I have always got the impression that their respective entries would do well in the televoting at the very least.

What if I take the opportunity to bet for Ukraine getting a top 10 placement... Hehe...

Good year to make some money. I think the winner will be Switzerland, Lithuania or maybe Italy. Not really believe in Malta and France (1&2 in the odds) in terms of televoting. Switzerland might do well in both juries as televotes and Lithuania and Italy have the potential to score incredibly high with the televotes.

And if this would be true, the odds for Switzerland, Italy and especially Lithuania are quite low (18 or something for Lithuania, so 10 euros x 18 = 180).

Lithuania could do it. Now 8th. I see them still as one of the big contenders. For Eurovision-fans The Roop and Discoteque might already feel a bit ancient, but not for the big public. Still think they will at least do great with the televotes. Maybe even Norway 2019 potential.
