The song's really good lol. Love the combo of neo-synthy sleek radio pop with the folksy strings in the post-chorus. That's a really neat twist. The weak point is the end which is too sudden, and kind of needs something more (like a big note or something). His voice is also... something I'll need to get used to; not a huge fan of falsetto's.
But the music itself? Actually really good. This should be a final for Azer, surely.
The song really flows well. Mamagama needs to have a coherent staging to carry on the audience's interest on the show. Then I'd say a good result is on the way. as a first impression.
Wow, this does absolutely.. nothing? Which is a shame as I listened to some of their other songs and thought this was a promising group. It's like a Miike Snow song but with all the life and bounce missing. Ad music, the song. I do really enjoy his vocals though. Just unfortunate to see a group with potential like this go with something so bland and unexciting. It might grow on me but probably not.
points. It's not bad but certainly not good either, which is frustrating as the potential was there.
Yèeeeeees! Finally!
Honestly, I'd have loved to give 12 pts but the 3-minute-rule prevents this from happening since this song is missing a middle 8 part and a final chorus/climax .
So here's for:
- a memorable lead singer's tone
- catchy hook
- ethno-inspired post-chorus
- promising intro
- funky/groovy track
I listened to some of their other songs and I wasn't expecting it to sound so much like a pop song and so grandiose, kinda curious to see if there's any scandinavian composer attached to it...
I'm unsure how competitive it will be, we already have a some big event, loud and in your face songs, another one may fly under the radar.
I'll give it a
I like this quite a lot! It's kinda giving the Ben Dolic comeback entry that we never got. I wish there was some kind of a build or a climax but other than that this is a pretty solid job.
