Conchita was the biggest Eurovision lover ever to represent Austria. I would not argue her taste.

I want someone who burns for Eurovision and not someone who just wants to have a career and thus takes anything, whatever it is.

i prefer artists who burn for the music, who produce songs that are played on radio and who are recognized by a larger crowd than eurovision fans only. anyway the quality of the entries and the diversity is much better recently than it was in the 80ies or 90ies. so i guess that eurovision fans nowadays have very different views about the esc and its future.

Clara Blume is a fantastic, fantastic performer (I'm quite the aficionado of "One Constant Thought" especially), and Austria will be making a huge mistake when they (inevitably) don't send her to Eurovision.

Like it or not Austria had an insanely successful entry last year, and anything they put forward in 2015 will struggle to come close to achieving what Conchita achieved.

Well, that's simply maths, but beyond that they might want to up their game. The 2012 and 2013 were really a letdown after their amazing 2011 national final, and Conchita made her way last year all out of ORF's desperation.

On the other hand, when ORF puts its finger on it, it might naturally fail. Conchita and her manager did it on their own.
