I suppose SBS has no more interest in doing Australia Decides? That seems to produce the best entries, especially if you reduce the jury vote—or make it public only as some other countries have done so quite successfully!

Could be. Seems like Casey, Sheppard, Jaguar are out. I'm really, really hoping it's someone new this year though. I wouldn't hate Dami but I would need DNA back and she would need to do a Kate and sign with a major/GoFundMe to get some funding for staging.

Dami is pregnant
Casey is in Sister Act through April

Is there a small chance we might be getting a completely brand new act?

The Australian Tourism Board should fund our Eurovision entry simply because of the huge audience exposure.
Trust me - I've pitched this to the head of Tourism Australia in the UK a couple of times now (I work in the travel industry for a famous Aussie touring provider) and they definitely don't have any plans for funding such a project. The best you can hope for is one of the state tourism boards assisting with video content for the representative, kinda like how Voyager leaned on Tourism WA for on-loaction scenes for a big part of their video shoot.

Delta is art he perfect spot to do it, she's past her peak and her priority seems touring Europe. But she's still too proud to do it, and fair enough she's a legacy act at this point but she's paid her dues.

Let's go with Dannii Minogue at this point. Or Vanessa Amorosi. At least they would have some budget...

SF2 looking tougher than SF1 so far...Australia not an obvious qualifier and needs something that stands out

From what I remember, Dannii doesn't have a great voice, compared to Tina Arena. Would either of them risk it? Very likely not.

His biggest hit (original piece) "Mrs Hollywood" sounds alright.
I just hope his entry will be more competitive though
