I keep expecting this to grow on me, but it just doesn't. I really don't get the whole thing about sending metal acts to the ESC to sing mid tempo soft-rock or ballads.... what's the point of picking artists like that if they're not going to do what they're good at? I keep expecting the singer to have a lot of soul and conviction in his voice, but that doesn't happen either. Sorry, but there's just nothing that stands out here at all, it's in the low middle of this year's entries for me.

I'll check it out later ;)

No I don't, I don't have a life

But really? What type of question is that? Should I consider it some sort of insult?

Now, I've decided this infact IS the worst song this year. A complete fat zero from me!

I can't believe this is the same country that started to become one of my fav ESC countries... bar their entry and the "boom boom shaka laka" mess, every Armenian entry ended up in my top. 10 (or close to it). I miss the ethno stuff Armenia! With this and the past entry it's apparent you should go back to what you did well...

I'm afraid diaspora (blindly nationalistic voting) and juries (vote for vocals regarding of how bad the song is) might put this undeservingly in the final.

For me my verdict is clear... the worst song of ESC 2013... My #39 ! http://www.escunited.com/t9816-4/#post967300

In general I like this kind of music, but this song is completely flat and in some parts really hard for listening.
For me it will be huge surprise if they win that qualification for final

I do indeed think this will qualify although Netherlands, Belgium, Russia are all in semi 1 so diaspora might not work in their favour yet again.

But Greece, Georgia, Israel, France and Hungary are in their semi though :(

It would be a total shame if this qualifies...

I think the juries will be responsible for Armenia's qualification of he (they?) gives a strong performance

I'm afraid so :( The juries would support a farting cow if it wailed with big vocals

Who could dislike the grannies?

Yes that's definitely singing, it's eastern folk style singing...

Somehow these awful kareoke shows like Idol and The Voice have dictated that good singing is only American-style wailing... well there's different type of singing styles and vocals fit for different type of songs...

I HATE the aforementioned American-style wailing... in parts it makes me want to go grab a blade and cut myself!!!!

But you can't deny the invasion of notes flying everywhere from the grannies

Great to see we agree on that

But that is how that type of folk-singing sounds xshrug ... it's very common style in almost all Slavic languages (although the grannies not singing in Slavic language though). It may sound strange to western ears though... and add that they were old aswell (which perhaps made it sound even more odd )... but that really is a common style in eastern folk-singing.
