And she is just 24.. it is natural to be afraid i think.. the belgium boy was very nevrous too. It was not obvious in his voice but i could see it in his face.

The singing was awful! the song itself was on my list of sure qualifiers, and I kind of liked it. But I think in the second semi, it would not have succeeded.
So they were quite lucky. But I wish them a better performance Saturday. Good luck Albania!

This woman was out of tune for half of the performance. It was painful to listen to, and she looked very uncomfortable as well. What a waste of a spot in the final.

She didn't even deserve to win FiK imo, and now she qualified to the Eurovision final with the worst performance of the night, and a completely irrelevant song.

Someone stop this nonsense!!!

I thought it was a very ropey performance all the way through, but it’s a great song and glad she managed to get through.

She hit the big note and congratulations for that, but the rest of the song was one big blergh.

I will never ever watch that performance again. Elhaida needs to shake off her nerves, not talk for 3 days again and bring her voice with her to the final, otherwise it will be very painful to watch again. I'm a big fan of this song and of Elhaida, but with that performance and with those visible nerves there's no chance for a top 20 spot for Albania this year.

Yeah sure, it went through with 24 points ;)

That was not my point.

I love the song but based on that performance, I would say it was #6 to #12. Having strong points from Greece, Macedonia and maybe Serbia help her cause greatly to be top ten.

I admit, this one surprised me after the performance that it qualified. Second half or no, she needs to up her game massively to avoid a low finish.

So from the arena, I called this one of the best of the night; understandably, my first thought was to check "was this actually that bad?"

Neither the jury performance nor the Live Show sounded good to me vocally but I'm not surprised in the slightest. As a matter of fact, I had her down as a sure qualifier. Personally I'm not a fan of the song but an definitely see the appeal in it. Elhaida has a fantastic voice and chose a difficult song. I'm pretty sure that the juries rewarded her for that. I can forgive some bad notes but hopefully she'll get to rest her voice for a few days so that she can blow everyone away in the Finals.

I'm surprised by all the hatred. I think she was great tonight. The problem is the staging, which is boring and sucks. That's why I was worried, but I'm so happy now xcheer

I was disappointed when I watched this. I don't know if it had anything to do with my Mother sitting right next to me slating it, but needless to say, I thought her vocals were off. I've just spoken to my best friend who happens to be not a fan of Eurovision, and he's literally in love with it and can't see why i'd think it was disappointing. He thought the performance was incredible. I just watched it back a few times in fact, and I don't think it was anywhere near as disastrous as I first thought. It still had many admirable qualities and overall Elhaida's voice was incredible. I just believe it could be so much more though and I hope she sorts it out for the final. It was a combination of the song and vocals that brought her to the final I think, and that's good. So long as it's not a car crash live (see Armenia) I have no problems with the better songs making it over the weaker ones, even if the weaker ones are better performed.

There's no hatred, it's just that her singing tonight was very underwhelming compared to her performance in Amsterdam for example.
