  • You've probably heard about our most famous scientist Nikola Tesla? :D he would probably never achieve what he achieved if he stayed in Serbia, that is sure. And we wouldn't have electricity now  I am also planning to go to some foreign country maybe, if I get the chance. The only problem is that I like Serbia too much, and I have many friends here, so the chances are bigger that I will stay in my homeland

Yes, luckily, he is repairing it for free. I don't know how much it will take for everything to be healed, but I already feel much better, and it can last 'till next December (until 21.12 ), never mind, it is only important to get rid of the bacterias :D Ah yes, I am quite a nerd as well, even though I hardly accept that fact
As I am studying economy, but management as well, I was learning about those things in USA, western Europe and Japan. Tbh, I like both the Japanese model (and the principle of seniority :D) of and the western, and both are better than our. We learn many too many stuff, and too many theoretical things but very little that we know of practical work before we actually get employed. Also we learn too many unnecessary things, and every professor (and teacher, in high schools and elementary schools) thinks his subject is the most important, no matter if you need it or not. People save money in USA for their kids to go to studies but at least that always pays off and returns in a very profitable way, and here......well, Serbia is one of the countries with the biggest number of experts going out of the country.
And it is a must. It's very hard, some say our studies are the hardest in the world, because you have to get rid of many things you like and to stress a whole lot before you finish it. You can see on my example how it looks like  I think that in Croatia it is not different. And which is worse......nobody guarantees that we will be able to work after the studies, as we have many people who finish uni's and can't find any work (and also, many people get employed because they have "connections" in the company, like father, who worked there, uncle, etc....and the real people with knowledge miss out. Also people in some political leagues are more likely to get employed than the others ). My sister is one of those, as well as my father (he didn't finish the uni though, he worked as a plumber.....but no job now). I like the western model much more, and it is much more practical imo.
I don't suffer from the problem to have great marks, but I don't want low ones either, especially when I know how much the level of my knowledge is. And I am planning to go to master studies as well, and even work as a university professor :D I would really love that, and that is why I aim for higher marks, even though I already have an average mark of 8.1 (and 8 is the lowest number acceptable for doctor studies). I want to have at least 8.5 though :D And these last couple of days, I've been writing seminaries at night, and studying at day, for a colloquium I have in 2 days from the hardest subject on the uni - business analysis. Hopefully, I pass that but......hardly  !

As for the studying in Serbia, it is very hard! Very, very hard. We have only 5% of people with uni diplomas in the country, if you can believe it.
Hey Reggie, glad to hear that! :D It is a bit complicated in the beginning to learn where the special letters that Serbian and Croatian language have, and which are different than the standard, universal, English letters, are located, but I am sure you will be writing in Serbo-Croatian without any problems in no time :D

Yeah, thanks. What can I say, it is something most people get through, and I generally have no problem for someone to pass with a higher grade than me, I don't even look at the other people's grades, and I wish them all to pass with great marks, but this was too obvious that people who (as we say here) "get inside the professor's butt" get great marks, even without studying, and I was studying almost the whole day before in order to get a great mark, and then he mocked me in front of everyone, and said that I should be happy that I got a 6 (btw, uni grades here are: 5- failed, 6-10 - passed), and next time I will get a 5 :? It totally killed my motivation for studying.
It hurts like hell when he is cleaning the canals, but the feeling after it and the relief are worth it. Anyhow, I think this will be a looooong night, as I hardly sleep when I have dentist assignments in the morning

Haha, so that is how you found him! :D I managed to download all ESCs from there, I was really in a hurry, as you never know when they may delete them all
As for the sexual assault training, I can imagine what kind of reactions would the name itself cause here  But it is a good thing actually, it happens a lot in the modern world, and people should always learn new things, and be ready to learn through their entire life. As some people say, "knowledge is not a definite category", which means that it is open for new things all the time :D We must be ready to learn through our entire business career.

Yeah, it's much better finally! I found out that it's an inflammation of the tooth canals. For that, the dentist himself is guilty as it happened that he didn't clean the tooth properly before putting the filling inside, and then those microorganisms who were present under the filling got inside the canals. I don't blame him, as everyone makes mistakes, and nobody's perfect. He wants to clean them well now, before placing the filling, and tomorrow morning I have to go to for another cleaning
Hey Reggie :D Don't worry about a late reply, as you can see, I have the same "problem" like you  Actually, being busy with work and studies is considered as normal in my personal experience and on all Serbian uni's, and to just one day collapse from studying or working, it's all "normal" , nothing terrible (and what we get from that studying is often devastating because we all lose tons of nerves, we make cuts on the entertainment and social life just in order to study and have great work after that, but the problem is that the job is not secured even with finished uni's and it often happens that such educated people end to work as street cleaners for some miserable payment (like 10 dollars per month :()  :rs: economy is in a huge bull.**** ......

Nice that you managed to finish the book in time :D
Btw, how is life generally going on? :D I need to check the dentist for the weekend, I have caries on no.8 from the upper left side, and last night it was hurting like hell. If it wasn't for medicine I wouldn't sleep a wink. My mother couldn't sleep when she saw me lying and coiling :(
Yes, you are correct, we were one country, just like Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Macedonia were one country together with us in 20th century after WW I. However, all of us had our own countries before we joined Yugoslavia, and they were looking just like now (although the territories were a bit different). I've read somewhere that Serbs are one of the oldest nations in Europe  With the biggest tradition along with Italian and Greek.

Yeah, this is really great because I also like to watch the voting part and I like to have complete shows, so this is really great for a die-hard ESC fan :D Haha, ah so you ended up subscribing to that channel before? :D I found it by accident, I was looking for interval acts and I found...THAT  Yeah, that was the price they were selling on, and some were even 50-60 euros, which is really a lot (1 EUR = 1.37 U.S. dollars).
Oh, so I was close :D Yeah, well, Montenegro is pretty much the same thing as Serbia  Just like Austria and Germany, we are different countries, but we speak the same language, share the same culture, etc......there are many Serbs in Montenegro, and also many Montenegrins here. :D Yeah, the channel is awesome, I almost jumped from my chair of happiness when I found something I was looking for much earlier, but without success. :DThe quality of the video is also really good. Seems to me like they are all rip-offs from DVDs (which are really hard to get. I saw several places where you could order them, but the price was too high (especially for older ESC's)).
Hahaha, really? Is he, in any case, of Serbian origin ? My name is very common in Serbia :D Milan, Milos, Petar, Dusan...are the most common male names in Serbia :D But, yes of course, Milos rocks the most :D Btw, check out this channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/Euroensiklopediya. I discovered it by accident last night, it has all full Eurovision shows from '56 'till 2003, but I guess they will upload 2004-2011 as well :D I began with downloading.....
