And here it is! Mainstream hasn't served us that well for the past 3 editions. I have loved all of them though but I reckon it is now time to go back to the more alternative genres which were really representative for us in the earlier days.

The band that gave Zoidiac the honor to host NSC 52 is back: Streetlight Manifesto! History has proved for us that previously successful bands and artists in NSC aren't necessarily a guarantee on doing well again in NSC so Streetlight Manifesto should not feel too comfortable already. They have to fight against 8 other (imo) strong entries. Spleen United represented Tír An Abhainn last edition but in spite of their failure in the semi the Zoidician broadcaster, ZOI1, did not hesitate a single moment about including them in our National Festival.

Apart from that there is not much to add. This NF includes ska, ska-core, indie-rock, hard rock, and a football-song dedicated to the German club St. Pauli FC!

OH and one more thing! The rules are a bit different this time. I want you to vote only if you at least like one of the songs! I don't want any "forced" votes so only vote if you feel like there's at least one of the songs you want to support. If you hate them all please stay away. I will try to vote in everyone's else NF but I want votes from "the heart" this time

Important!

In accordance with the rules "Pridaj si ma" has now been replaced with "Matura".

I may have to ask Pigeon Island and New Acadia to change their votes, only if you find it either better or worse than "Pridaj si ma" of course.

I checked the wiki-page and according to the list of entries the only song entered by Smola a Hrusky was "Jarna modlitba" by TaA in NSC 53.

Ok, so here we are with two days left for voting and it's time for a little update.

New Acadia, Pigeon Island, Roseland, Bokia, and Canedonia have all voted so far. xthank1

Two songs seem to be stealing the spotlight at the moment, only point separates 1st and 2nd, and there's a considerably huge gap down to the 3rd-place.

Oh and apparently "Smola a Hrusky - Matura" was used by TaA. Not in official NSC, but in MSN-NSC, so it's a valid entry. Had I known that beforehand I wouldn't have put it in my NF. Now I'll just keep it and see how far it will go.

It doesn't matter. I even had "Destroy everything you touch" on MSN NSC and Dalisska had it on the actual NSC afterwards. And right now I think my memory is a bit faulty (I sure hope not), so don't catch me on that one.
