Re: Any growers/faders yet?
Biggest changes for me after seeing the performances...
Growers:
The entry was in the quite sizeable pile of songs I didn't like, but Moldova's performance last night was too charming not for me to be won round. When looking at this song as the entire finished package, i'm getting enjoyment from it. Huge development as I disliked this song months ago. Biggest rise from my bottom 7 or 8 songs to.. well, something i'm now looking forward to experiencing again in the final.
This song I thought was ok but again it was the semi performance that managed to win me round. I was so pumped during and after Christabelle's performance.
This could have been the first Albanian entry I disliked but the performance was touching and powerful and now I at least don't mind it.
Turbulent relationship I had with this song but it ends up in my top 10 thanks to the final version and surreal performance.
Have gained more respect for:
The song is not for me but one of the best performances of the year.
I've softened with this one. I still think all the same things about it, but I don't hold it's problems so hard against it and can see why it's liked. It's catchy despite being low energy and it's harmless.
I have huge vocal problems with this entry as I can't stand her way of singing, but the song is actually touching, and the staging was beautiful. The vocal style is forced but I feel sincerity still, so I can't hate it anymore.
Faders:
I thought this would end the year as my favourite song, and i'm still a fan, but gradually the passion I thought I had for it faded. The performance as well was below my expectations but still overall a very beautiful entry, and easily in my top 10.
Lovely song with some gorgeous elements but I started to find it difficult to sit through, and the live performance was a huge letdown.
I wasn't a fan of this song to begin with but it was in my pile of tolerable entries. After the performance I now dislike it. A shouty, cold and unpleasant three minutes and the song is just a series of sparsely scattered beats with someone trying to show off on top of them.
