Well, I guess I'll start:

* OOPS SHOULD BE 2019 OF COURSE ! <- Could a moderator please change the title here? I can't....

Host city: Tel Aviv

- I think that Israel, just like any other host country, has the full right to choose whatever city they want as host city, any other ideas are just politics and it's sad if EBU would pressure Israel to choose a certain city based on political pressure from outside groups that couldn't care less about the contest but just want to stir up stuff. If EBU truly believes that ESC should be apolitical, then Israel has the right to choose Jerusalem or any other city. As for my personal wish however, I think Tel Aviv would be the best choice. Jerusalem already hosted the contest twice, so it would just be fair to give it to another city this time around. Tel Aviv is the largest metropolitan area in the country, it has the international airport, is a young and liberal city with lots to offer and would fit well as a destination for ESC fans.

Host/s: ?

I don't know many Israeli names, I think rumored Gal Gadot could be a cool choice, but I don't know anything about her potential hosting skills and apparently she seems to have already declined the offer, but we'll see. One thing I DON'T want is more than two hosts, I've yet to see an ESC where 3(+) hosts turned out to be a good idea, on contrary it's messy, the lines are short and forced, instead of focusing on good hosting they desperate try to share the limelight and both 2017 and 2018 had really bad hosting with forced jokes, bad English and messy outcome. 2017 was like a bad jock party and 2018 was a messy hen house... can't we get like one good looking female and one good looking male, funny without being desperate, cringe and forced, good English and professionalism? xshrug

Running order: Randomized, genre-based running order

The "producers' choosing the running order" needs to go, in fact it should have never been introduced in the first place. It's non-transparent and the contest looses its credibility. It opens up for biasism and corruption and cronyism. There are ways to make a diverse running order, yet keep it randomized. Me and many fans have pointed out for years now that it's fully possible to create genre/tempo pots in a computer and later on have it randomize the running order but keeping the outcome diverse.

How points are announced by the spokesperson: Please go back to 8,10,12 !

Only announcing the highest score is such a suspense killer and it makes the whole voting process even more confusing, I'd say at least go back to the spokesperson announcing the top. 3 from the juries, it's simply better for the flow and doesn't add too much time either. The voting is one of the highlights of the show, but it needs to have suspense, if it's too fast is not really that exciting tbh (although I understand that with all the countries involved, we can't go back to the old version of announcing ALL votes).

Juries' role: Well...

We have a separate thread for this and I expressed a lot on this already. I'm aware of WHY they are in the contest, but if they are just as political as televoters and if they are punishing local sounding entries, original entries, entries in native languages etc. then really what is the point with having them in? If the juries are only to boost western countries and safe standard Pop in English, then they aren't really helping the contest and its diversity much. I understand that they shouldn't have to agree with televoters all the time, and that's not why they are here, but when they want to homogenize the sound of contest and punish more daring entries, then we have an issue. I am not sure what the solution here is tbh because I'm certain EBU won't get rid of the juries.

Strongly agree on
Host city: Tel Aviv

Simply because It removes much of political value of the Israeli win and the risk Eurovision goodwill being compromised.

That all this hate towards some countries from many so called "fans" will end, It´s destroys the whole spirit of the competition. This year, many people really crossed the line with huge margin about what is acceptable behaviour and what is not

Led and projection back for every country which wants to perform this way. The creativity argument is lame. You can also be creative with led and projection, look here:

Host Venue: ICC in Jerusalem
Hosts: Sigal, Yigal & Dafna

Everything the same as 1999 (apart from the songs / results obviously, or I could just watch 1999 on dvd)

That EBU could upload 1:30 of the performances from the jury dress rehearsal on Friday evening, on YT the day before the final broadcast so we actually get to see the performances that the juries are basing their verdict on

Hosting
Obviously the Contest must be in Israel (I have seen lately some of the usual haters doing the rounds saying it should be moved to Austria or somewhere else. Well if you don't like Israel, just withdraw, bye bye!)

Whether the Contest is in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv or Haifa doesn't bother me. I like Jersualem for its fantastic history and culture, Tel Aviv is probably more geared towards a "party" and is more of a "Eurovisiony" city, and Haifa probably is a mix of both.

Hosts
No idea lol but I think it should be reduced back to two main stage hosts, and one supporting host (maybe IMRI) backstage/greenroom.

Running Order
Israel should choose its place, then the Big 5 should choose their places. Then after the semis, the qualifiers should choose their places. The Big 5 and the qualifiers should get their chance to chose in random order determined by a draw.

SemiFinals
Israel and the Big 5 should perform in the SemiFinals live but without facing the vote.

Voting
The voting should be changed to 1/3 European jury, 1/3 national televotes, 1/3 European televotes. European jury votes first, each country sends one member to the jury, this would be given out in one go. National televotes vote second, individual country spokespersons giving out 10, 11 and 12 points (and automatic 1-9 points). European televotes vote last, could be total televote points all added together or points given out on the basis of amount of televotes gained across Europe, this would be given out in one go.

Oh you and your 'relevant winner' policy... sometimes a non-name that ends up as a no name after winning is a better winner, at least to me xshrug

The winner to be a female Icelandic artist singing a pop song with an interesting clever beat and a great refrain

I'm a simple man. I'd be happy if I could watch the show on Eurovision's youtube channel without having to deal with VPN xrollinglol
