Big thank you to everyone that voted for Marianne Faithfull. I knew she was going to be a tough sell because of her weathered vocals that are very much an acquired taste, and because of the heavy and dark tone of the piece of music. "Who Will Take My Dreams Away" was my introduction to Marianne's music many years ago. I fell in love with her voice and style. Coming top 10 with such a piece of music is wonderful and totally unexpected. Thank you. Getting nice results with Antony, Velvet Underground & Nico and now Marianne Faithfull makes me very happy as these artists mean more than words can describe to me.

Reading a comment like this makes it all worth it. Thank you Lupus It means a lot to hear that. I do get worried sending songs such as this, wondering if the audience here will appreciate them or not. I'm so happy Marianne captivated you. Sending that song in was a last minute decision. I originally planned to send one of her recent songs (more of a conventional folk ballad) but last second had an urge to brave this one. All those points (especially the 12's) took me by surprise. Thank you all so, so much.

I was following orders from a certain boyfriend of mine... I got him interested in them a while back and he's always said that if I send something from Yorkshire it had to be them! Obviously was more than happy to oblige! Glad some people actually liked them!
