wasn't it in the rules that WV songs are not allowed in spinoff? :shock:

No, they are just discouraged. Although it would be better if they weren't allowed.

I've chosen a singer from this area too, his name is Damien...
Some time ago I suggested to forbid songs from WV in spin-offs if it's not a specific theme.
There were arguments against that we already had too many restrictions... Well...
OK I understand it... It would mean more work for hosts/mods to check it. It's impossible to remember all the songs.
And database wasn't always fully updated. But if someone doesn't check then this rule does not work.
So yeah, maybe better to stay as it is...
But we still have in the rules that it's 'very discouraged' to send them.
So I suppose that it's OK if someone sends WV entry if he/she doesn't know that (didn't participate in that edition).
But sending entries used in WV on purpose (if you know well it's WV entry) is disrespect to other contestants and it really tells about originality of contestant.

I'm OK if someone sends an entry from WV1 or sometime like that (some songs I even forgot they took part in WV, and while searching for a song, I came across a couple of them and put them in my possible list but then I remembered they were in WV long time ago, so imagine people who weren't in WV from the beginning), or if someone sends an entry that didn't do well in WV and some time passed already, and thinks that if he sends it in a spin-off might get the recognition it didn't get in WV, but I hate it when people send songs that have been recently in WV or they were placed very well.
I first reserved Denmark and sent a song, but then I remembered it was in WLSC and was placed well, so I decided to change it immediately, although not many who will take part in this spin-off took part in that WLSC edition.
