Congrats EDC0708 for your victory! Even if I don't like the song and most symphonic metal at all, your victory was worth it because you are often underrated in the main contest. This is like a redemption act for you. I hope you will host, I would like to see it.

Meh, dissapointing result. Not what a true, honest blues legend who literally breathed musicality like John Martyn deserves, but I guess this forum just isn't the right place for it.
Also, the result is a bit of a let down for me. It was generally a nice field compared to other contests I did so far, but in the end the top 4 consists of some classic rock with basically poppy arrangements and folk that is already pretty well represented at WV.
Thanks for some high points, and especially thanks to @Fierro for the organisation. The start of this wasn't nice, to put it mildly, but kudo's for holding on and doing a great job.

Pretty much what I have complained about WV ever since I have participated, but the contest is what it is. I can say however that WV has improved quite a bit since I returned in 2021. Alternative songs becoming more viable and the voting circlejerk is also being less apparent, even if we do still get iffy winners. For this spin-off, I'm especially impressed Australia is top five. It's a super risky entry that would have flopped in the main contest 20 editions ago. So this does somewhat upfill the purpose of the theme even if some entries are still underrated/overrated.
So you are excited about "Only Bops" winning the spin-off suggestion round?
