Why it should be in big city? We had WV in Sundborn which isn't even a town but village I think.

And I'm sure you love other places in Uusimaa a lot too, not even Helsinki.

You could do it in Hanko, for example.
Just in July there is an annual Music Festival called Hangon Musiikkijuhlat... as it is a summer destination for many Finnish people, the venue could be the beach xwoo
Take a look at Hanko

Another option could be Vantaa, where the airport is located and they have the Energia Areena, link: Etusivu

Espoo is not dull at all...they have Barona Areena, where UMK contest is held, and a modern architecture.

But of course it's all up to you, these are only suggestions

Awh Helsinki! The place where i got a fabulous 22nd place in my semi with Marsheaux in WV12 and OMG so many memories from WV 19 in which i did not even take part in!

That some people have certain standards for themselves about "creativity" doesn't mean that they have to impose them onto other people....

Always this "No no no, you should do this, you should act like that, you should host like this" and some of them even have the chutzpah to tell other people what songs they're 'supposed' to send

So I say to Luflee: ignore what you read here and follow your own instinct.

Porvoo is beautiful! It's an old town just 50 km from Helsinki city center, it's a turistic area, most of the foreign turists get there by boat in the summer.

In Helsinki we have Hietaniemi beach, every summer is a venue of music concerts or festivals, even Rihanna performed there, so it's an option considering that luckily is summer! xwoo

So, it could even be the first WV edition with three host cities (beaches) Hanko, Porvoo, Helsinki for each show
Oh now I'm too excited... ofc tge decision is yours and for sure you'll be a great host wherever you choose ... you are a pro making banners!

Even though I always support hosting WV in cities which still did not host the contest and I wanted to suggest you that, I understand why are you saying that Espoo lacks something and I agree with that.

On the other side, Porvoo looks fabulous!

But as Mozz said, you're the host here and you have the final word.
