I dunno man, I just didn't like your song, felt it was tired old pseudo-rock that aged badly. It's closer to Maroon 5 and Bon Jovi than it is to Radiohead or Sigur Ros. But ok I mean I sort of wrestled with this same thing. You sent a football chant sort of tune. I have one shortlisted for Guelders, I never sent it because it's giving football chant badly and I expect nothing good from it:
Mind you this is one of the biggest hits to come out of Guelders in the last 20 years. It should be good. But is it? I mean the stuff is catchy sure, but the pop people hear failed abortion dickhead rock and the rock people hear badly produced insipid pop so like where's the cross-section of this beyond a narrow line from like ferret to you to Edweis? I mean would I myself even score this Back To The Zoo song? Would anyone be amazed by this? Would anyone think it interesting? I couldn't properly say yes to any of those questions, so I never sent it. I think if I had the expected return would be 30-40 points, it's what you got as well, but yours was in a super strong semi.
