Luckily I managed to watch 2nd half and what a match...it's been a while since I watched a match like this. For you it may have been an exciting game but for me it was simply horrible. I thought I was going to have a heart-attack eventually.

We sure had our chances at increasing the lead (Jon Dahl  ) but Cameroon wasn't easy to defeat at all. Phew...I'm glad we'll have some days to rest in before the big match against Japan.

This was a real horror so now I'm just looking forward to some matches I can enjoy as an objective football-lover without feeling like shouting and dying every 4th second.

Oh yes!

Now an even harder task is ahead of us though. Japan will be happy with a tie so we'll have to lock up their compact defence somehow. They showed that against Netherlands today so we will need that lil' bit extra in order to win against Japan. :)

Japan is not a better team than Denmark, that is sure. I believe Denmark can beat them, and you will

Thanks to players of Denmark and Cameroon for the great game last night. My favourite won!!!

Today predictions: I expect a convincing win for Paraguay and Italy, although Slovakia is still big unknown for me.

Slovakia - Paraguay 1:2 (Paraguay have a much better team and play much better than Slovakia do)
Italy - New Zealand 3:0 (no doubt, Italy will won this)
Brazil - CIV 1:1

And it is 1:1. New Zealand made a surprise!! Probably the biggest surprise of this world cup. Congratulations to them. Much of the time we saw defending from New Zealand and I am not that big fan of that. However, they were brave and they were very determined. They have a chance now for a spot in the 1/8-finals. I will definitely root for them against Paraguay. We will see one European team from group F out. Will it be Italy or Slovakia, we'll find out next round.
Just some side notes about the strong and favorite European teams. So far France is the closest one of being eliminated. I think they are 99% eliminated already. Italy and England have 2 points from their two games and stand on joint second place with New Zealand and USA. They will face Slovakia and Slovenia in their final round in order to qualify. Germany lost one game and they are in danger of not qualifying in the 1/8-finals as they will face currently first place Ghana. Ghana can do a lot with a tie. Spain has lost their first game. They face Honduras tomorrow, which I believe they will easily get. But their game against Chile will be a crucial one. Portugal tied Cote D'Ivoire and if Cote D'Ivoire ties or wins over Brazil, the Africans are likely to grab a spot in the 1/8 finals which leaves Portugal and Brazil to fight for the other spot. Based on the play so far, Brazil are slightly better and Portugal might be eliminated. Only Netherlands secured an 1/8-final spot so far. They are the only one from the European big dogs to stand firm so far.
Regarding the other European countries, Greece is in a bad position as they face Argentina. Denmark needs to win over Japan and so does Serbia over Australia. If Switzerland wins over Chile, they are likely through.

LOVE THIS WORLD CUP xgoddess

Goooooo New Zealandddd!!!

If NZ beat Paraguay, Italy-Slovakia draw and we beat Denmark.....!
Seriously wishful scenario, but it would be an epic pairing for the last 16  (though you can expect an... odd match, with two such defensive teams xD)

Seriously, I love how up-in-the-air everything is. Even though Italy DID play far better, gotta love all the underdogs

OK, I wasn't home since Friday, so I couldn't comment on recent games.
I'm so happy for Denmark (against Cameroon)! Good luck with Japan, they're solid team.
So sorry for Slovakia today:(
And Italy - NZ....lol. I would never guess it can be NZ's tie with the world champions. Great for NZ, pity for Italy, but Italy will qualify anyway...
I think 'strong' European teams seriously underestimated all other teams in this World Cup. So far, South American teams (esp. Argentina, Brazil, perhaps Mexico, Uruguay...show they're in much better shape, IMO).
Next one: Brazil - CIV. Mmm, delicacy:D
Supporting Brazil, but I think CIV will win (2:1).
