How nice to call someone's hosting irresponsible because he forgot to put the deadline in the title. And who says that the deadline should be more than 5 days? I don't think someone needs more than 5 days to decide what to send. What procedure do you follow? Contemplation and meditation for 1 week? :lol:

And I don't understand how everyone is ok with short deadline except 2 people :lol:

The NSC deadline is generally 7 days (or slightly longer) because it virtually guarantees that everyone will have time to send an entry/listen to the songs. If a deadline is 5 days (especially Monday-Friday), they could all be days where someone is working and is unable to take part in the edition.

Not everyone hangs around the forum every single day and if they are used to a deadline being a certain amount of days, they might miss the confirmation period if all of a sudden the deadline is shorter. I notified Aigars of the deadline when I saw that Vylkuzeme was not yet on the list of confirmed entries, since I knew he was away this week and wouldn't have time or means to check the forum that often. Had I not done so, Vylkuzeme would have missed this edition due to the short deadline.

I don't see why there needs to be a new WLSC edition every week. Especially since some (or a lot) of us are in FSC or WV and on top of that there is also voting in NSC every edition. Some of us have other things to do in real life as well.

But whatever. It doesn't matter now. Looks like most people who usually participate in WLSC will be in anyway. :)

Anyway, I am tired of destructive opinions since WV to WLSC. I will not give any attention to meanless reactions from principal members. Because they never be satisfied whatever I do.

Well yes, but that doesnt mean people with non-office jobs don't work long hours too. Not everyone works an office job, but someone with a full-time job could well be working for 5 days in a row.

And this isn't WorldVision - I'd like to remind you that the NSC rules state that confirmation period is a minimum of 7 days. Obviously in WLSC we're not so strict in enforcing that, but it's more of a courtesy to have a long enough deadline so everyone who wants to take part has the opportunity to do so.

And drop the attitude. You've already carved quite a destructive reputation for yourself in NSC...

I'd rather advise you to have a 7 days deadline too. Some people might take it for granted and they'd be disappointed if they miss an edition because of that. Obviously, it might be necessary in individual cases if it's not possible otherwise for the host - but generally I wouldn't schedule it much shorter than 7 days (or at least have a full weekend within the confirmation period).

I'm sorry for the harsh words, Impressive. These were emotions. I was really shocked when realized that I would miss the deadline, if not notified.

There is no need to be sarcastic Foti. Some people can't be on the forum every day, we have our real life too.
