Why the short WV-style DDL? WLSC usually has at least one week for confirmation and one week for voting.

Even before the WLSC 47 winner revealed, some people have posted their songs on threads. So this would be unnecessary to take it too long for confirmation. We already have weak attention nowadays. Don't you think so

Well since so few people were at the results show last night, it might indicate that people are away on vacation or otherwise busy and might not see the shorter DDL in time?

5 days is not short.

It is unnecessarily short for WLSC! WV lasts for 3 weeks (or more) and has so many stages with confirmation, semi finals voting and final voting, so 5 days there makes sense because otherwise each edition would just drag on too long. But since WLSC has only confirmation and then voting, there's no need to keep it that short. And also, this might cause people to miss the deadline because they might think "well confirmation is usually a week anyway".

Obviously it's your edition and you can do what you want, but it would be a shame if people missed out because of a shorter deadline. And also, WLSC is not WV.

I'm no longer in WLSC, but when I was I often wished that the confirmation periods were shorter in WLSC. A whole week seemed such a long time for a small group of people, and many participants already announced their next song right after the results show of the previous edition was over (and we had to wait almost an entire week before the show started). Anyway, just my two cents.

And also, WLSC is not WV.

Well, you are the one talking about WV. I didn't even mention. And I can't change DDL because of one person. If there will be reactions from a few people like 4 or 5 against 0, then I can take it longer. Until there, there is nothing wrong with DDL to keep it 5 days imho.

Exactly my thoughts, I always wished WLSC confirmation period was shorter because I can't wait for new edition to start People who want to participate, they'll send their entries anyway, no matter if it's 5 or 7 days But when I hosted WLSC 2 editions ago, I made it 7 days confirmation because I wouldn't be able to post the show earlier than that.

So short deadline.
I have not even looked in this thread and thought that there is enough time and had planned to choose my entry and send it during the weekend. The confirmation period was usually here one week and I don't see need to reduce it. And the deadline is not even written in title of the thread.
Irresponsible hosting!!!
