TAMAUSIA & DELTANNOR's solution was...

This riddle solution all related to T&D's flag, depicting a boat. The reference to gravy hinted at a gravy boat, and the other part of the riddle was a reference to the phrase "we're in the same boat".

I thought this was going to link to me being stereotypically Northern English loving gravy

EFFILAND's solution was...

This riddle had two very specific references - the first part was linked to the exclamation given by "Melodifestivalen" presenters "Sverige, vi har ett resultat!" (as Effiland in its history is famed for a unique NF contest and spin-off concept called Effifestivalen. The second part of the clue was a direct link to a part of dialogue given by the character "Effie Trinket" in the Hunger Games movie franchise where she chastises "That is mahogany!!" after a knife is thrust into an expensive wooden table. The image of the trinket box was a red herring, sending you to Queen Gaga's "The Edge of Glory"

Are the top 3/4 pulling away from the pack perhaps?

The solution to this riddle all related to ways to describe ham - either the food itself, or plays on the phrases "ham it up". The reference of ham to ÖÖSINGIMÄED is supposedly that the name of the nation means something like "Northern Ham..." - I unfortunately deleted the original description that iowa gave, so host fail here [clown emoji]

My own result, well, that's a new record low in WLSC, one point less than in the last edition. Thought it'd do a bit better tbh, but hey, that's life. Second, thank you Gary and Brian for the hosting ! Reading all the answers I definitely wouldn't have been able to guess even one of them, so I'm kinda glad to see I didn't miss anything by not even trying I appreciate all the thinking put into this though !
