Welcome back! Today we have prepared a three-part lunch for you - arena, show and hosts will be revealed. But first of all a big thank you to all these great sponsors you can see above. Griffin National Television, Griffin National Postal Service, Griffin Ministry of Communications and Transport, Griffin Ministry of Culture, Kralingslætingiskaja Aglomerating, Treasury of the Foreõsvdetrre Principality and The princely parliament of Foreõsvdetrre gave us some sweet money so we could prepare for another cute show. Also someone had to pay all those noble families to show us their pretty historical homes.

Not to spoil it too much, but there will be some familiar faces, classy tunes, gold, glitter and everything over the top. Buckle up!

The venue is massive, like really massive
While Kralingslæting hosted the 2nd and 30th WLSC already, this will be the first time the contest will take place outside of our famous Kralarrenaa. Let us introduce you to the princely stadium nonetheless. After the bidding phase was completed, Prýnsýnsstadijümi emerged victorious with its enormous capacity of 47,929 seats. It won over 9 other venues, some of them bigger, some smaller. Located in the south-west of the Kralewskovgrad municipality - heart of Kralingslæting, inside the Shaajo District, near the Jon Pioamson Stadijümi and Liremt Kelliz Stadijümi. With a interesting history, previously being home to the Griffin national football and rugby teams, this freshly renovated stadium is ready to take the roll of the temple of music and home to the Waiting List Song Contest 230. Its pitch is surrounded by four covered all-seater stands, officially known as "tribiine" named after 4 great Griffin cities - Hermýn, Göldtsit, Sellola and Tevs. Now, the stadium will be at its half-capacity since we will close it in the middle making half of it mix of conference halls, and smaller rehearsal areas as well as green room. So, take one of 20,000 tickets and get ready for the spectacle.

The hosts are part of Griffin nobility
No, we didn't do it to upset Pyreica, it's part of a GTV's plan to show off Griffin culture. Following the 4 part special on Griffin nobility that was released earlier this year, GTV decided to show you some of those faces, so please welcome, princess of Foreõsvdetrre and duke of Tevs.

With her extremely long name, Emma Aliis Ikdõidaignsson Slýtthj prýnsýn ätt Foreõsvdetrre is probably a familiar face to you, especially if you followed the spectacular WLSC in Bigicia a few editions ago when she was one of potential heirs to Bigician throne (like her title isn't enough). Her family is well-known and very politically active princely family with their domain in the central Griffin principality of Foreõsvdetrre which is also the hosting province – coincidence? I think not. Not only that, but her uncle is no other than the Griffin emperor consort himself. What a mafia family! Anyway, we won't forget her successful career as an actress as well as masters degree in Natian literature from the University of Utopolis.

Our princess, will be joined by none other than Jon Sven Gýörgýsön fihfitsleht ätt Tevs, who is her co-star in the Disney (again) live action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast. So he's also an actor, comes from a ducal family, and his father is a famous politician that is part of every possible Griffin parliament (and believe me there are quite a few), so the nepotism is obvious.

80s meet opera
So, for opening and interval acts we prepared something interesting - sounds of both popular and classical music. Firstly, we'll hear the National Orchestra and see some of the those castles we're talking so much about. And of course, we'll see our beloved Belinda Carlisle that brought the contest here. Did you know that with 134 points collected, her song Heaven is the place on Earth achieved the 13th biggest victory at WLSC? Beside that glorious hit that will open the show, she will sing us Leave A Light On during the interval act. Now, it gets interesting: to follow the theme we invited two opera singers, to show the other side of the Empire as well. Luciana Serra will sing us Les oiseaux dans la charmille, an aria from Les contes d'Hoffmann; and Jakub Józef Orliński will showcase his breathtaking countertenor voice singing Vivaldi's Vedrò con mio diletto.

Ding dong! Confirmation deadline is soon and there are 9 countries that competed at the previous edition left to confirm their participation, including the previous host - Endórë. So hurry up, there are only a few hours left (twelve to be precise). Don't forget - the deadline is at 21:00 CET, not midnight. The show will be posted immediately after the deadline, so join us on time.

Sparkles, crystals and LEDs
At this point it's a tradition while Griffin Empire is hosting the contest to show you our stage design. This time, after Paris we rip off Academy Awards as well stage will dazzle with 45 million Swarovski crystals. Scenic designer Derek McLane Dërek Mäklein has been called upon by the Griffiniskaja Televisioon to design the stage for Natias’s biggest music event, and oh boy did he deliver - we have dozens of brand-new elements to delight the audience.

Rather than focusing on a traditional stage design, Mäklein went for a more abstract and classy look this year to honour the theme. “It's more about reflectivity and light,” he notes. And while there are certain designs that reflect the past, there’s also a sense of the future: “I think that what I've done feels pretty modern and forward-looking.”

The proscenium, which is the arch surrounding the stage in front of the curtain, is a brand-new design this year—and perhaps Mäklein's favourite element of the show. “It feels a little bit like a geode, or a kind of sculpture made out of crushed glass,” he says. When producers asked the designer to do the show, the proscenium was the first design he conceived. The end result is this dazzling faceted piece decorated with a staggering 45 million Swarovski crystals. He then expanded upon the crystalline structure for the other pieces on the stage you see here, flattening them into more abstracted, two-dimensional forms that have a bit of an Art Deco flair to them.
