i agree with [MENTION=15109]Titowam[/MENTION] and i think this was way too long. looking at a few older WLSC contests, i've noticed they can be as short as 10 days. we all have personal lives to keep up with, that's a fair point, but if you knew you were going to be busy then i'm not sure why you would host the contest over the period of almost a whole month when a lot of us have more free time to host it instead. (i'm still surprised that we're still waiting on one vote too, actually!)

I dont get why you guys are in such a hurry!
Many players voted late this edition, and I am sure some of them would not be able to vote within 10 days.

I might have only hosted 2 editions here, but I have a lot of experience of hosting contests.
And it is not so nice for me to hear that you prefer other host because I didnt deliver a result right after you vote.

If people are in such a hurry all the time, maybe we should do it this way:

Winner of WLSC 108 would host WLSC 110 (with a reservation period lasting the same amount of days as WLSC 109)
The host of WLSC 109 could be some random or so

I am sorry for having too many days of voting, but this is how I did it this time. I just wanted to give you guys some time to vote, and some time for me to do hosting and other stuff in my life at the same time. And how I do this is up to me, ok?

Shawn told me he would vote, I have spoken with him on Facebook! The deadline says 23:59 CET, and I dont wanna DSQ him before that time just because some wanna send a song or so

The winner hosts the upcoming edition if he wants to and then people should accept the deadlines, no matter if short or long. Apart from that 2 weeks is quite okay and long deadlines allowing more people to take part, which is important in such small contests like this one.

thanks [MENTION=7480]Kimrt[/MENTION] for the results and i loved the scoreboards. i hope you now have more time to do things in your personal life now. for the record, the long deadlines doesn't mean i'd prefer someone else to host. i just wished the competition would go by faster so that i don't forget about it!

Thanks so so much for all the votes for Hilda and Moisantia - missing out on top 5 with the last set of points is a bit gutting, but definitely happy with the left hand side of the scoreboard!

Thank you so much for voting for Carpentaria!

I discovered this song a few weeks ago, and fell in love with it. That being said, I will freely admit that I sent it to this edition as I found the idea of a song about the Armenian Genocide participating in a Party Song themed edition ironic.

I'll open up the thread sometime tomorrow (as I live in this will be in the late afternoon for all you Europeans) as I don't want to spoil the results for others.

Just as a note, what would be adequate times for the reservation and voting periods? I haven't been here in WLSC too long, so I don't have a good idea of how long I should make it. (On the other forum the contests are on average one month long, which obviously doesn't happen here. )

I'm thinking of ~5 days for the reservations and ~14 days for the voting; does that seem fine?
