I doubt it. But we could face more songs with political themes, foremost peace

I hope no!!! But I don't mind drag acts or whatever as long as they are good.

What I expect is better, more diverse and daring songs as we've just seen you don't have to send a typical ESC style song to do well.

I agree. I think we should see a wider range of songs and different types of genres than varying displays of sexual orientation.

I hope not. I'm against drag acts in Eurovision as I believe it makes the contest into something it is not. I'm also against extreme use of gimmicks and stuff. It really should just be about music...and a nice staging, yes...but, please, keep it as real as possible :)

Copying the winner is never a winning formular.

But I tell you something what performers should copy from Conchita to win next year:

- look fierce and connect with the audience and viewers
- look proud and happy
- smile with your eyes and sparkle

Then you can bring whatever song you want. Austria and the Netherlands that did like no others.

But Slovenia could send Salome, even though she's not a drag queen.

Why not Sestre again? :p Or just Marlenna, he kept interrupting Tinkara with his yelling/cheering for the 2nd placed song on Ema, he's still clearly very enthusiastic about Eurovision

Probably other countries will not so much copy the artist, but the musical style or the political side of the song. So this could mean that next year we get more ballads and songs with emancupatory or political lyrics.

I don't think so actually, it's impossible to copy something like Conchita

I think the better question would be are we going to have more James Bondesque Ballads... I think we probably will xD

I kind of doubt that, or at least that any will make it to Eurovision in the end. Most entries that have tried to evoke aspects of previous winners have been quite contemporary, that is, something that they "could have done anyway", but Rise like a Phoenix is based on a very specific style and time period, so any more songs that resemble it musically so soon will be too conspicuous.

One thing I hope Conchita's victory does is encourage more LGBTQ representation. It's a bizarre disconnect that there's this superficial perception of Eurovision as all glitter and rainbows, yet openly LGBTQ artists are few and far between.

You're spot on! xup

Here's hoping for lots of queer acts in 2015. And not only drag queens, I wanna see all kinds of fancy people, it's gonna be awesome!!! xwave1
