Because "this isn't about who you want to win, lets try and put personal bias aside." :ee: doesn't have any mass appeal to win Eurovision but it also doesn't have the "wow factor" to win like :ua: 2016 and :pt: 2017. You exaggerated like hell in your comment... It's a mediocre opera song, that's it. It might be better than :se: 2009 but it definitely won't do much better than that. Most people will just endure it with a cringy "ugh" feeling... This is not a winner at all, believe me. Don't get me wrong, I respect everyones personal taste but it's just annoying to see fanboys going crazy over certain songs year by year and acting like "this is heaven, this is will win by a landslide..." when it's not realistic at all. It feels like :il: 2014 when so many people obviously really thought that that crap would do well...

I respect your point of view but to call La Forza mediocre opera song is doing it an injustice. Sure, lyrically, perhaps not all there. But I think it has the power to wow with how atmospheric it is and her voice - that last note is just insane. I appreciate it isn't for everyone, but it is the only song I've heard this year and got real winner vibes from immediately.

Who do you think will win, curiously?

For me Eurovision simply isn't the right place for opera stuff. The song itself deserves the space and the audience like any other serious entry but there is no chance of winning. And I can't feel any emotions there, it's way to artificial for my taste...

Well I agree on the unpredictability of this year! For me :bg: or :cz: seem likely winners but :cz: usually struggles with the televoting... :bg: could easily do well in both televoting AND jury voting and that's what you need in such a year! So :bg: is the strongest contender for now I'd guess... :il: might do really well with the televoters but it won't be that high with the juries (only in the top 10) so a top 5 or top 10 result seems likely to me!

:be: could struggle with the audience and it might also not do that well with the juries - I predict a top 10 result

Juries will push :se: again without any reason, maybe the audience will also like it so I'd call him another possible contender... (only because it's :se:!)

But after all I see a 2011 result coming - yes :az: had been one of the contenders but in the end their victory was quite a surprise!

These were my arguments why I thought Estonia will win and not my personal Taste.
For Eurovisions Future I think maybe Sweden, Bulgaria or Hungary would be better.

This is also your PERSONAL TASTE... This thread is about the realistic contenders! :hu: might get enough votes for a top 15 or even top 10 result but how on earth should it win?

I wonder if juries didn't like last year's Occidentali's Karma, which is clever satire of today's community, would they like Israel? Israel would maybe be good without awful chicken noise, but this way, I really see OK 2.0 coming here. :) And I think it is popular because of funny video, everyone wanted too hear it just when they saw that funny thumbnail, something like Gangnam Style. Many people are saying they are already tired of it. But everything is possible.

I was convinced of its winning chances before I started to like it. Bye.

Now way Hungary wins! Even if it wins televote it won't be on juries top 10! In fact even the qualification is not sure either!

The strongest countries with the best potential for win :

Israel Estonia and Belgium in no particular order

The dark-horses :

Bulgaria, France, Sweden and Greece.
I can also add Czech Republic but im not sure about that because Lie To Me is a typical song for Top 10/Top 5 but i never seen a song like this win ESC. I have the feeling that this one will have a similar fate to Moldova last year

I share your opinion about possible winners, I think all of them could win, but most likely first three, and the others counted here, depending of situation could surprise us.

I now deeply believe :bg: will win... Maybe even by a landslide... After the performance in London I can say that his is way stronger than their entry last year and we all know where that went... I guess it will do well with both juries and televoters and that is exactly what you need in a year like that!

Bulgaria, like others acts, used pre recorded vocals, is very obvious, and don't give any assumption about what could be their live in may. But i think they will have a good staging, like the last 2 years. Dark horse for sure, winner, maybe.

For me, right now, 6 acts can be the big winner

Israel.......maybe too obvious
Estonia......but i feel no emotion, better to listen than watch
Bulgaria......i cant see them outside the top 10
Belgium......but can flop
France.........can flop too, and big ? about the staging
Norway ......not the most obvious, but there are a chance

And maybe the surprise country nobody expected: Hungary

I would be happy if one of them won, even more if is France, Hungary or Bulgaria.

bulgaria did not use prerecorded vocals extensively and that is evidenced by the soundchecking sounding different from the actual performance in london. they are just that good i think.
