I think this is fun when you play it! I didn't like idea of this at first (when it was first time), was annoyed with fact that will get some exotic country but in the end process of finding song become challenge and it gets to be fun to find something you like and what to share with others! Give it a try! I totally support exotic countries but also, hope we do not go into exaggeration too much!

Country Randomizer eh? Hmmm.... doesn't sound appealing. I'd have much preffered the Home Region spin-off. The Randomizer will obviously be challenging as for most it's probably going to mean having to seek out music, but i'm unsure I want to spend hundreds of hours delving through stuff to find something i'd actually be ok with putting forward... but I guess i'll play, only because it's dear Mr Shoes suggestion

It seems as if there are a fair few people here who voted for both this and the Home Regions idea, but have a huge preference for the Home Regions idea. Maybe the top three ideas from the initial vote should be taken then everyone votes for their favourite of the top three. Possibly a little late to retrospectively apply it here, but maybe something for the future to try and get a spinoff with which a few more people are content. What do people think?

My opinion:
Honestly, it is a valid point and kinda agree with most of it. But I dot see reason for voting for other choices if you have really big favorite(s) you want to play. If some people voted for some choice, they should think before if they really want to play it or not. Personally, I voted for 14 choices as many of them really I would like to play. On another side, we have [MENTION=14007]lavieenrose[/MENTION] example who wanted many of choices and self restricted his voting to only 3 possibilities.
All voters in pool are aware when they give 1 vote is equally valid to as much as choices they give them. So, considering this, my opinion is be careful to who you vote.
About your idea, honestly, I do not have anything against if apply it but I think it just would prolongation this selection process. But, if selection process is better organized (for example, that during one spin off we vote for next spin off, we would save much time and could play without stopping).

Furthermore, as alternative to your idea, I see it would be possible that we make something like small eurovision voting when you vote for your top 5 or top 3 giving idea you want mostly (if top 3) for example 4 (or 3) points, then second placed 2 and third placed 1. Or some alternative like 7-5-3-2-1 or 6-4-3-2-1 for top 5.

If you (all) want, I can be in charge of spin-off theme selection process (already before I offered my help). I think it is not that difficult to moderate (despite all lack of time) it during 10 days that we have theme ready and voted before start of each edition.
