to me home regions would not be the country you're in, but the region/county you're in. Otherwise what's the point in it to make it different form WV?

Well I presume that the difference is that you are forced to take the region/county you live in/were born in. I was considering it to be (haha, another point of view!) the area where you were born/spent the majority of your childhood. I would take Yorkshire, seeing as I lived there from birth until uni, and even then I was still there for a quarter of the year. Now I live in Scotland, but I would consider Yorkshire my 'home' region.

I think we should make distinct from origin and home region. My origin region is Herzeg-Bosnia County (in Bosnia & Herzegovina), and I also kinda consider it my "home" region. But all of my life I spent in Dalmatia (in Croatia) so I guess that would be my home region.
In your case, you should stick with Southern Ontario I believe.
That's how I understood it.

For some that was where they were born, for others it's where they've spent the largest portion of their lives and for yet others it's where they are living now. I think that is surely the essence of the spinoff? Let people decide how to define their home region!
