at first I thought you were talking about Bernie Sanders
Didn’t even know that Top of the Pops was actually referencing to something ?Top of the Pops is a mainly British phenomenon, so that fact that the choice has never won a poll indicates that many WVSO participants don't know, let alone understand, what it is. Frankly, I would struggle to choose a song for this theme.
Top of the Pops aired as a weekly program on the BBC from January 1964 to July 2006. Every episode ended with the number one song in the United Kingdom. If the Top of the Pops spinoff were to happen, then a participant would choose a song from the list below, as long as the single is number one during the show's run as a weekly program.Didn’t even know that Top of the Pops was actually referencing to something ?
I just thought that it was about doing a contest where the only genre is pop…. which no offense but …meh…
I don’t have anything against a good pop song, but so far I have really enjoyed the variety of genres in the playlists
To be convinced to vote for it, I’d need a bit of an explanation regarding how the SO would work if all participants are to choose a different country
No because I did as well and was confused for a momentat first I thought you were talking about Bernie Sanders
Doesn't really matter, soon as thread opens marc sends Snollebollekes - Links, Rechts and we're all just spectators as marc brings home the victory for The Netherlands.I will host - but I'm not sure about this theme - should entries be football/sport related or are we just having European party and theme acts only as location restriction? @Gera11

Since this would be a WorldVision spinoff, regions would be permitted, but the spinoff would likely be dominated by regions that are located in the United Kingdom and the United States.
Well, it looks like choosing a song for this spinoff wouldn't be so hard after all.
Then maybe a Spin Off that features songs performed during TV Shows would appeal to a larger number of people? Can i say this not right, TOTP is not only airing in the UK.
Germany had it's own version from 1998 to 2006 and also The Netherlands had is own version. I remember many artists that weren't from UK und USA in the German Version.
I grew up with TOTP Germany and also other Music Shows like THE DOME, it's so sad to see that Music on TV has no place anymore.
TOTP was much fun for me, see this great Performances from week to week.
It is a Challenge, which combine Performance and Songs, but Spin-offs should be Challenges.
So If we can celebrate Pride, why we can't celebrate TV Shows, which would be important for Music.
It's only suggest, if it not wins, then not. I'm fine with that.
