What about the other ex-YU countries? Never been to Montenegro, which is lovely? Not even Bosnia? You have to cross Bosnia, when you want to travel both ends of Croatia?!?

Poor you :(

Vienna is awesome, but I think - as a Vienna resident - Prague is even more stunning..... and the Czech language is really cool....

I haven't been just to eastern-most part of Croatia,to eastern Slavonia, but that is very little part of Croatia.
And you don't need to travel across Bosnia if you want to travel to another part. And ofc,I haven't been to whole Croatia from once, every year I go somewhere and then I have travelled to whole country, and also several times to some cities, and to Zagreb more than 10 times,so :D

xD I live only 60 km away from the Czech boarder and sometimes people from here go to Czech Republic for shopping because it´s cheaper there

I know, until last year I lived near German border too. Some things are cheaper here, some things in Germany (clothing, electronics), but after our government raised taxes last year, food prices are now almost equal or even cheaper in Germany as well. Some travel agencies even make special "shopping trips" to Dresden and other German towns near Czech border.

Food and dairy is definitely cheaper in Germany. In Austria we pay 50% more on the same things, like Nutella. Also the rentals are higher.

On the other hand, we have cheaper Internet....

Well about Romania. Bucharest is nice, but not the best they have to offer. I would highly recommend visiting the Transylvania. The best cities to visit there would be Brasov and Sibiu. Some people also like Cluj. The are also has the Carpathian mountains and some cool mountain resorts like Predeal.

The other area in Romania I'd recommend would be the Black sea coast (if you go there during the summer). Wouldn't suggest the biggest city there (Constanta), but rather going to smaller places like Mangalia or especially to Vama Veche.

Re: Where do you want to travel?

Romania - Like SpZ said: Transylvania (they have some nice castles there, Bran, Peles, Corvinesti and towns like Sibiu, Brasov, Sighisoara, Cluj Napoca).
Bulgaria - Varna is the best at the Black Sea, not because of the sea;) I don't know what is Sofia like.

This summer I wanna travel to Greece (and most likely will) for summer holiday. Next year Sweden (almost sure, my friends and I will go to ESC with OGAE).
