I don't know details about my ancestors, just 'recent history', from father's side...some grand parents were Serbian, Montenegrin, Jewish. From mother's side...they're Serbian and Hungarian.
Father's grand grand grand.....etc parents originates from Montenegro (moved to Croatia when Balkan was under Turks), spent there several centuries, now family moved to Serbia (1995)...(to spend several centuries:lol:)...what's next?
But, regardless of ancestors, I consider myself Serbian.
As for relatives - I have them everywhere (at least 9 countries that I know for sure), but I'm not really in touch with any of them. Maybe with 2 or 3 relatives through Facebook:lol::p

Awesome :D. I seriously didn't know there were other Pinoys here (except for Roadrunner)

It's really common for Filipinos to have Spanish ancestry. I owe my Spanish roots to my father's side while my mother has the Chinese blood. :D

I actually researched this recently, quite interesting :D My grandfather (dad's side) is a Catholic from Ireland and is Irish and my nan is a protestant and is Irish too (O' Connor). Guess it doesn't really matter anymore  Thennn on my mum's side my grandfather is English. And my mum's mum is half Scottish, and my great grandma is Egyptian (her surname is Hisham - which is apt since her nickname on my dad's side is Mostafa  Seriously... Not in a racist way I hope!) And that's it. I've not gone further into my family history but I have a mix of religions in my blood - yet I am agnostic, and don't follow a religion :D Fun fun fun fun, hope it interests you. It was fun to find out.

Ooh, and I have relatives in the UK, USA and Canada too - a lot of them escaped the Irish famine in the late 19th century and also just general emigration from the UK overseas.

the other day i read that according to scientists half of europe are descendants of tutankamon, by the way all people have famous ancestry even if you dont know because since we have 4 granparents, 8 great grandparents and successively..and there are less and less people in the past than today, everybody have common ancestry with everybody, and we are all the same family. :D What is impressive is that you can know you genealogy so well and so long, your dad did a really good job!

In only know until my great great grandparents and all they are from here from Galicia. But i have relatives in different parts of america because emigration in the XX century.

As far as I know, my ancestors are Croatians (at least closer ones), but my last name (Markus) has some roots in (Burgenland), Austria. Maybe, but just maybe I have some relatives there but of course, I have never met them and I am not sure about that (I don't even speak German well).....:D:cool:

As far as I know I have like 95% Dutch ancestors. :D Very far in the past I'm linked to some Germans, so that would be the slight other ancestry I have. :) That's mostly because the family from my mother's side is from the south of the Netherlands (Limburg) And the family of my father's side is from the eastern side of the Netherlands (Twente). Both of them are close to the German border. :)

I think my ancestry in many ways is very typically English... descended from Danes, Germans and Irish!
On my mum's side I am English, Irish, Danish/Jewish (not too sure) and Dad's side Scottish, Irish and supposedly German Jew but the family name is of Norman descent...
Typically English - MONGREL!

My father's ancestors lived in Prussia, and emigrated to England at the end of the 19th century.

My mother's ancestors are from France and I think they were there a long time, since her family name is distinctly French.

I think my ancestors came from Kyiv Rus, as far as I remember 1 branch of my family always lived in Ukraine.
I know that my grandma's ancestors worked for Russian queens Elizabeth and Catherine II, they were advisors or something like that.
I won't be surprised if a lot of people descend from royal ancestors here due to lower population back then + kings and princes liked to cheat, a lot.

As for modern times... I have no idea because it's too diverse (I have big family):
My mom's side: Russia, Kazakhstan, Kirgizstan (most def descending from China and/or Japan), Moldova, Lebanon, Israel
My dad's side: Ukraine, Latvia, Lithuania, Germany, Argentina, Brazil (most def Spanish/Portuguese roots).

I wouldn't be too proud to be connected to the ruler during whose reign Bulgaria fell under Byzantine rule.

I don't think I know of an ancestor of mine who wasn't Bulgarian, so my roots seem pretty monotonous.
