What did you learn from this years ESC?

I myself learned that I shouldn´t doom song quality before the competition has begun. I can´t understand how I could thought this year was pretty bad for 2 months ago xsorry

Even if you are neighbours, it isn´t sure you end up getting 12 points (:be: giving :8: to :nl:) ( giving :8: to :se:) for example.

Finally, all votes were released seperate, good job EBU. Sadly some countries jury don´t know what "Fair Play" means.

What do you think?

I agree with the first cause for some songs I change opinion after the live performances... but still a weak year ...:(

Then I think that if I really learn something it was what Conchita taught to us. And imo it's and the most important messange at this year's contest

• Dance music is dead in Eurovision.
• Unpopular countries can win too.
• Micro countries can qualify too.
• Russia could send three minutes of farting and they will still finish in top 10.
• Every year at least 2 countries from OGAE top 5 will fail.
• Azerbaijan can fail too.
• Big men with freak songs will not do well.
• Never trust bookies.

Of course. The last two ESC:s has been weak in song quality if you look at the whole thing. I really hope that 2015 can be like 2012

Don't trust bookies blindly. iTunes charts are more truthful.

Never count a country out that people think don't have a chance, they just might have the ability to surprise you

Don't ever fantasize about what it would be like if your favorite NF singers from previous years went to Eurovision, everything can go horribly wrong when it finally happens :(

I simply learnt one thing, an important word.. and that word is "Maybe". I've learnt that it's always vital to keep the possibilities of the special word within your heart. Nothing is certain but then nothing is also uncertain. Anything can happen for us.

I've learned that if you're not succesful for the first time, you should never give up and try for the second time and the third time... Eventually you will succed and be awarded for your hard work and devotion :)

I learned that if you are kind,no matter how ''freaky'' you look, people will understand you.

Conchita Wurst is now my idol.Sorry about that, haters.

I can add one more thing myself:

That :az: are definitely not ready to compete in this competition still after 7 years - Azerbaijan: 'It is doubtful Dilara finished 22nd' | Eurovision 2015 Predictions, Polls, Odds, Rankings | WiwiBloggs.Com

??? What do you mean? Azerbaijan is one of the most successful participants in the contest ever. I loved Dilara's song and I was so frustrated that they/he/whoever in charge tried to change the performance to something else in the last minute.

I wrote that because of the speeches Mammadova did after the final, cry like a river when you finished outside top 10 for the first time is very childish and pathetic and it just make them look more stupid than they already are, especially with the results they have gotten before this year xfacepalmxfacepalm

We were sank last year because of the viewers but did we in Sweden complain and point finger because of that? No, we accepted that Europe didn´t like Stjernberg

:az: sucked this year and got a placing they deserved, In my opinion, they shouldn´t even had qualified for the final.

OK, I see. To me it seems she was disappointed because they clearly had expected a better result due to Dilara's ranking before the contest. Expressing dissatisfaction with the voting system and blaming it for their failure is indeed pathetic (but human). I still think the crew is to blame for lack of preparations and rehearsals. There's probably a story behind that explain the obvious confusion and uncertainty that marked the performance. Of course devastating for a song that should shine with the purity and passion it deserve.

My conclusion is that:
1) Dilara's vocals were excellent.
2) The song was a great ballad.

The failure lies entirely in the weird performance that didn't match the song.

But blaming the new voting system for their failure is indeed pathetic, especially since it was used last year too (but yeah, Azerbaijan finished 2nd so why complain? xwhistle)

It´s very sad that some countries just can´t accept that their entry didn´t was so good that they thought. And that´s what makes me really upset. xslap xgaah
