Aye, The Catcher In The Rye is great. A true classic!

I'm currently reading "Grave Secret" by Charlaine Harris. Book #4 in the Harper Connelly Mystery Series. Thrilling like the rest of them!

I am currently reading "Les Particules Elémentaires" by Michel Houellebecq. Pretty depressing stuff, very un-PC. MHIY and A-Lister would like it. :-D I find it quite interesting myself, although the misanthropy of it makes me a bit nauseous.

Edit: And I've found out that a German film inspired by the novel was released in 2006, although I'm not sure it remains true to the original work. Atomised (film) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I also read "Bonjour Tristesse" by Françoise Sagan earlier this week. Very different author, subject, and themes!

That's almost impossible, if not impossible.

I adore 'Bonjour Tristesse' & her other novels. We had to read them for a class. I like her very much as an author.

:tr: The Bastard of Istanbul
I finished reading it today and I can say I'm astonished by it!
The novel's about Turks and Armenians in general. The plot goes quite passive in the beginning and halfway, but the ending is SHOCKING!
It's a good book to get to know Turkish and Armenian cultures.

I'm in-between 2 books: :D One I've ended and one I'm going to start. The one I've ended is a historical romance about Catherine of BraganZa, a Portuguese princess from the Portuguese 17th century, (a difficult period for :pt: because it wasn't recongized as a sovereing state either by Spain or the Pope, after 60 years of Spanish dominance, therefore not even the Royal Family was recognized as that) who became the consort queen of King Charles II of England. The author is Isabel Stillwell, a Portuguese journalist and writer.

To all who're interested about Catherine's life and her relationship with Charles, can find a lot of information in the internet, like this Loyalty Binds Me: Did Charles II love Catherine of Braganza?

And now I'm going to start reading another historical romance by Phillipa Gregory Changeling.
