Many outside activities in Catalonia have been cancelled or forbidden in order to prevent forest fires (there's one in Tarragona right now, luckily the nuclear plant of the area is out of danger). Also some cities offer free acces to public swimming pools because whatever you do at home is painful: either you spend a lot of electricity for fans and air conditioning (and you don't want to spend a lot of money on the bill), either you sweat like a pig and curse the sun even if you closed everything and the rooms are in semi-darkness. It seems tomorrow we'll reach 43ºC in Girona and it will be the peak of the heatwave.

But it's getting usual now, why do I complain?

 It seems we were spared the full force of it. It's been non stop on our news about new records in Germany, Poland, Czechia etc and that France is declaring a state of emergency. While here it was around +10 to +15 and non stop thunderstorms, even had some bad flooding very near to me a week or so ago. Worry not, we'll join you for a single day on Saturday when it will be +30, before returning to this misery. :

Boris dancing in the rain sounds like a horrible spin off movie to the original that would crash and burn. Tbh in happy with brexiting +40 weather so no complaints here.
