Horehronská Televízia has decided Horehronieland will most likely send Hungry Lucy (HHL80) to the 111th Nation Song Contest. Unless we find a really suitable song from an other artist.

Hey there!
So recently, or well for the last twenty-one editions, I have been feeling up and down regards my feelings towards Nation Song Contest, and staying or withdrawing from it. That wasn't really caused by anything in NSC at the beginning, it was more about feeling guilty for spending too much time on it, or just feeling depressed because of some other stuff, totally unrelated. However, afterwards it kind of started being related, as I used to find NSC way more fun when I joined than nowadays. For some time recently I feel like listening to the songs is more an obligation than fun. Surely, that comes with generally the change in taste of perhaps both me and the contest. Out of the Semi-Final I debuted in 18 nations withdrew, out of 22. Of course, older nations leaving is not related to that though, as I love the songs by some of the newer nations too, such as Trash Canyon, SR Indiria,... I'm happy about all the songs I end up liking, I just sometimes wish I ended up liking more songs like I used to before.
However, I do love all the people I met in the meantime, and am chatting with daily or less often than that, some of them had smaller or bigger impacts on me during the previous (a little bit more than) 4 years. That, and the fact I couldn't deal with skipping an edition or missing out on it are currently the only things keeping me in the contest.
So the thing is, what makes you love NSC, find it fun, appreciate it...? Answers are welcome. (kind of take this post like that NSC Appreciation thread from like a year or so ago.)
