The banner itself looks good and of course I can see all the hard work behind it, but it's too bright/light and it hurts my eyes.

Can't you make at least the background behind the forum a darker color, like you had with the blue skin? All the way down to the bottom of the page.

Like I said, the lack of some kind of darker contrasting color in the background hurts my eyes. Otherwise I wouldn't complain.

If you don't want to do that, can you at least make the old skin available alongside this one, so you can choose for yourself? :?

Yes, I agree it's too bright....all the time I see the new skin I feel I want to lower the brightness levels of my monitor but it's already at the lowest level

I think these tones are quite nice I like gray under white and blue red combinated.

I like it, but the turquoise links/highlights dont really suit. They'd look better in pink methinks.

Well, either I'm colorblind all of a sudden or my monitor isn't calibrated, BUT
ESCunited is looking pretty exactly like the picture. Now it's not a big deal for me as I love the layout and it was merely a notation.

For the borders I believe you use cyan right? Pretty much the same "green" commonly used for the Portuguese football team. So the banner colors the guy is holding is what I see on my screen.

I see, well it wasn't difficult to figure that out anyhow - easy to get it look like a 1 year christmas theme. And as I said, I love the colors.
