Usually our entries sound quite boring, but this definitely not that.

This will do very well with the juries imo, just need a very good staging to go alongside it.

After 2 listens I just want it to stop. Sorry all those tempo changes and shrieking voices make it sound like a mess, Bigger than this vibes but probably better. Sorry UK but good luck For trying.

Sorry but I can't say I'm a fan of that song. Don't want to be a hater, I hope they do great in Basel but I won't be rushing to listen again

I love the audio personally.

How it does overall is going to depend a lot on the staging. Hopefully they have some big ideas on they are going to stage it. It needs to tell some kind of story (sounds like it is just about a very messy night so I guess they can do something with that), otherwise all the tempo and dynamic changes are going to come across as disjointed. But I do think it could be amazing live if they do it right.

It will be divisive anyway. A lot of fans are going to hate it because it is too musical theatre but often it is better to be marmite at Eurovision. It will stand out as their aren't many other girl groups and it is nothing like Latvia.

It's not the type of song I listen to, I get more Little Mix vibes from this than anyone else. And even though I wouldn't listen to this song out of choice, I do really like that I think this has real potential to do well at Eurovision compared to many years before where the UK entries were dead on arrival.

I find it a bit frustrating to listen to, because I liked where it was going, and then it got all disjointed and lost the momentum it was building. Maybe it will work better for me as a live stage performance, and I have faith they'll be strong vocally which is what we need after the last two years - I just wish there was less flipping back and forth in the song.

It's certainly an interesting entry with a lot (perhaps too much) to take in on one listen. Generally it does give me Little Mix vibes but it goes absolutely everywhere and is incredibly vibrant. A mix of bubblegum pop (akin to Toni Basil), a dash of 70s rock, a bit of Beatles in the first verse and sprinkles of gospel (ironically I struggle to pick up country). It's actually nuts. I appreciate how bold What The Hell Just Happened is.

Is it a great song? I honestly can't say at the moment. It borrows perhaps too many influences and throws them towards you at an alarming pace. I feel like this might be an entry that reaches its full potential on stage rather than during a studio version listen. I don't think I love it but I do respect the choice a lot. It's a wild card. Anything could happen here. If this goes hard live and juries get behind us, we could have our next great result. On the other hand it could just come across as a hot mess. On paper, this is way more promising than last year as a song with the ability to wow and stand out is actually there.

Thank you, I've finally figured out what it was reminding me of. It was The Beatles - Strawberry Fields Forever.

It has the same kind of organ/flute sound at 0:10. And then the 'no clue but I liked it' is a bit like the 'strawberry fields forever' line.

Whether that is a deliberate reference or not, who knows.

In any case I agree with you, the staging is going to make or break this song. It wont work if they just stand there in front of mic stands, there needs to be stuff going on around to tell a story. They need to go hard or go home.

I've only heard a snippet, so I can't really comment on the "disjointed" critiques but it seems ok to me on first listen. Doesn't seem super exciting to me but I only heard 20 seconds of it online since the full song was taken down so I'm probably only getting one vibe of the song. (according to people there are several vibes going on at once)

I had high hopes from the leaked snippet :/ Unfortunately I think the chorus is very grating. Was hoping for slightly more of a country-inspired song

Your comparisons with Little Mix, Queen and Chappell Roan are actually on point.:p But this song doesn't sound as good as those mentioned artists. Not even close, sorry.

On top of that, unnecessarily stretchy word in the chourus ("happened") is one of my music pet peeves. xshrug

The Eurovision class of 2025 is not yet complete but is starting to get close enough that I feel we can start making generalizations about its identity--and quality. If you looked at my average rating, you'd think I thought it a weak year, but I don't see it that way. This year is full of big creative choices that take major swings for the fences and risks. Sometimes the results are flawed. Sometimes they're really flawed. Sometimes they're absolutely disastrous. But I really like how many of these songs are coming with an identity and standing on their own two feet. I somewhere between disliked and hated "The Code," but I can't help but think this is the legacy of its victory. If that's Nemo's legacy, I can't complain about that. So I'm enjoying Eurovision 2025, even if I wish I had a good deal more songs I could get absolutely hyped for.

The UK is jumping right in on this general trend with a very bold entry, and, as I do with many songs this year, I really like how ambitious it is. We're just constantly shifting tempo, volume, genre, mood, everything, mimicking the "what the hell just happened? Not sure but I liked it" lyrical hook (such as it is). It's a lot to take in, and I could see myself really growing into it, but by the time it's done, I end up exhausted and feeling like I've lived a thousand lifetimes. It really teeters on the line of being just plain-old unfocused, but I THINK it lands on the right side of the line.

(That is p much what I said about "Zari" last year and that ended up near the very very top of my rankings. We'll see!)

I'm feeling nice and talking myself into enjoying it. :8: points.

Well I've finally got round to listening to the leak and sadly I don’t like it.

I can’t stand musical theatre songs and it’s giving big musical theatre energy which isn’t for me at all. I can’t deny Remember Monday sound good, but high pitch harmonising like this always sets my teeth on edge sadly.

It goes right through me. The tempo changes make it really hard for me to latch onto the song too.

The fact it’s not beige is a plus but it is going to be very marmite with the public I fear. And I hate marmite!

I will of course support them all the way and hope for a great result - but the song is not one I will actively seek out to listen to.

I tried to listen to the full song TWICE today but I couldn't make it.

I will give it another try tomorrow (when it's been offically released) but so far, I can't stand that type of songs.
People compare it to Little Mix and Beatles - and maybe they're right - I didn't like any of them...
And I will never forgive Little Mix for having written "Pretty Girls" for Britney.

I'm glad it sounds "British", though - if it's a pleasent thing for the ears, I don't know, though.
I'd have preferred the Olly Murs or Girls Aloud route rather than putting everything I disliked about the Beatles and Little Mix into the mix... anyway, tomorrow I will give them another chance but for now it's definitely bottom 5 material for me.
