Firstly, I love the rising trends of synth sounds in 2024!

Dizzy screams Olly/YnY but there's something oddly space-y about the soundscape. Very enjoyable, though I feel I'm drawn more to the instrumental than the lyrics and voice.

A great radio friendly track that Im going to stream and enjoy, I dont know how its going to do on ESC, lacks a big moment and climax but its catchy and has staging potential.

Top 5 for me one of the better tracks this year, also they've been quiet clever vocally not challenging ollys range which has already had its detractors, a 10 for me 👍

Edit: It's just hit me how hypocritical my strong dislike of Olly's voice is when Benjamin Ingrosso was my number 1 back in 2018, but you've all conveniently forgotten about that little unfortunate moment in my history x

Quite underwhleming. I was hoping for more beats and stronger rhythms, but this is far too mellow and with no true highlight. :6:.

this is a big disappointment for me. Its a nice song but I expected something more catchy and powerful. I dont think this can reach the top 10 in malmö.

After I’ve slept on it, I think I bloody love this. I can picture a huge stage show in Malmö

Nice song. Nothing more. He's a great performer so I guess this will avoid bottom 5

Well done! It‘s catchy and the music reflects the dizziness throughout the song. I miss some progression or highlight though. But all in all a very enjoyable track :10: for now

  1. Well-worked instrumental part. Not only from a competitive point of view but also from the sound engineers.
  2. The sound is a renewal of the 80s and has its own epic quality. It's profound.
  3. The song is like a dog chasing its tail. I don't have a real musical break. The chorus wants to try but it's the part where the song derails and becomes more limp.
  4. "Dizzy" in a crazy edition like this is among the songs that, despite maintaining a good rhythm, manages to stand out but it's like the distinction of a nerd from the group of bullies. Like Mae Muller she could end up in anonymity.
  5. Olly's voice is pleasant, it's a caress, a bad copy of Bruno Mars' but obviously it's not, I'll give two examples, like Slimane or Gåte who manage to anchor themselves to the listener.
  6. The song overall is radio friendly and will be a good hit there. For the ESC a not exactly winning choice. That's not to say it doesn't risk ending up in bottom 5. I feel "radio friendly German crash" vibes

Rating 5 + 1 for commitment + 1 for wishing good luck. Overall 7.

There's not much of a killer instinct to get us into the top 5 but as a pop song in itself I imagine I'll be listening to this a lot more ahead of the contest than many of the contenders. A disappointment but not a disaster.

This is obviously the best pop song quality wise the UK has sent in like... forever? I love that this truly sounds like a Years & Years song and not something specially crafted for Eurovision. Production is stellar, can't wait to see it on the big stage, hopefully there's a strong concept there as well that elevates the song. Douze points!

The music video is EVERYTHING. There’s production, money spent, high campery, choreo and drama!!!!

This is a contender to win. The song's production is sublime, and I think the live performance is going to be special, the potential is big. The UK have a strong team behind this entry this year, this is nothing like last year's horror show.

Guys, please, we need to be a bit realistic. It’s ok you love the song but those who are saying that this is going to win, how come? I would be more worried about how is he going to manage not to be in the bottom 5 once again…

Houdini it better than this as a song however Eurovision is about the performance. Dizzy it a better song to have when it comes to sending it to being performed on a global stage where the majority of the audience will listen to this the first time.

I can understand why people are disappointed in the song itself but this was chosen as it had the best package for Eurovision. It’s not just about the song. I’m positive because I can see the vision for this. I think this will get top 5. Unless olly vocals are really bad and his team decide not to give af.

I'm not enamored by our entry but I'm glad it is well produced and true to Olly's style. I think we can be proud of it even if personally it doesn't do a huge amount for me. I don't see a win but I think with a good love performance, we can get another top 10

Basically what I think as well (except not being British x)
Less catchy than I expected tbh. Needs a good performance to give an actual lasting impression I guess, but top 10 should be possible for sure as it is produced very well. :8:

Tumblr, mostly.
This is a Years & Years song, and not a Eurovision song.

I like it. The melody is more than pleasant enough, and the message is romantic and cute. I don't expect a high finish in Sweden but it is such a darling 16th placer.

:8: points in the poll.
