They just tried a male vocalist out to cover Mae's weak vocals, then they realised that it sounds funny and saw the reaction to it and chickened out.
I think we are in for a treat

This is one of the most laughable statements ive seen

Really?

So you think that:

A) an average viewer watching and LISTENING a music contest or a concert or live gig

And

B) a singer that has to perform a song on stage live, being reviewed by professional jurors for his vocal performance and depending on assessment of an average viewer whether he sounded good

Attach more weight and prioritise

A) the fact that few LED panels malfunction in the back and staging has to be altered to some extent (Italian huge sin)

Over

B) a fact that there is a constant technical difficulty in sound engineering and sound-mix due to which an average viewer hears double voices and echos, while the singer can't sing because he doesn't hear properly himself nor the backing track / vocal (BBC's technical problems this year).

Now, to clarify this order of priorities, let's make it simplier for "the masses".

While last year the contestants had to adapt their stagings due to stage malfunction, none asked for their rehersal clip not to be released.

Whereas this year, the contestant coming from the HOST country, asked its broadcaster and EBU to retract or retreat the published clip of her rehersal.

So, yeah, BBC's poor sound production is a scandal, bigger than Italian sun that has never shone.

Now, let's reconsider again what or who is actually "laughable" here. ŠČ! 😁

You have not seen a single minute of eurovision yet so no nothing compares to the entire stage not being usable like last year

Somewhere in the middle for me. It is decent but something is missing.......though, I do like the rehearsal footage. So we will see, it has the potential to grow further.

5 points.

Why there were no rehearsal clips available?

Maybe Vinegar Strokes is going to accompany her instead of singing in the background, they need to practice!

P.S. it's just another incompetence part 1956 by BBC and EBU

It isn't available due to "technical difficulties". Word is that the sound mixing was off and distractingly so it wasn't included in recent compilations. And the absence of this one clip makes this the worstestest Eurovision ever even more so than ever before.

Please PLEASE I BEG can she do Nan

That was my first thought also. I really want her to turn up on screen as Nan, do that cackle, see what our 12 is on her card and then completely tear into everyone Nan style. xheat It would be such a moment that Brits will love but leave all of Europe shook by.

I have a feeling it will be as herself, or as her character from Doctor Who seeing as it is getting some reveal around or during the Eurovision final.

It will ofc be just as herself, but it's fun to speculate and discuss the possibilities. AJ Odudu last year, Catherine Tate this year, the BBC are on a roll with the spokespersons.

Honestly if it’s just Catherine as herself then a HUGE opportunity has been missed
