it makes the idea better (because Kaarija is GREAT and a win by him would be the "came from nowhere and beat Eurovision legend and international popstar")Or Ukraine
If he doesn't leave midway through the voting again in a strop then I'll be very disappointedSeeing as we have two 2012 artists coming back the BBC is going to going to wheel out 86 year old Englebengle Humperdonk
it would be awesome though if she did it and had a song as amazing as most tracks on "whats your pleasure" or "free yourself"Where did Jessie Ware come from?
Where did Jessie Ware come from?
I feel that whoever it ends up being is more likely to be announced after the 12th rather than on the 7th. I feel they'll go for a Thursday reveal and if we get anything on the 7th it will be an announcement of an announcement kind of deal.
Just my 2 cents but announcing on the 7th wouldn’t be completely random as that’s when the first tickets go on sale and doing so mid-week would help prevent other selected acts from overshadowing the announcement. I‘m not sure I see much logic in dropping it on the 10th on the eve of Loreen’s confirmation but other than the fact Space Man dropped on that date last year, is there anything that would indicate it’s more likely to be then than the 12th or 13th, say?I'm assuming you just put the wrong number, as Tuesday 7th would be a very random time to drop.
I have a feeling our song this year is as yet unreleased, we're not getting the same 'Space Man on Radio 1' strategy like last year as Lee Smithurst already confirmed a long while back before JESC.
If it is an unreleased song we are now looking at Friday 10th or last minute on Friday 17th. A joint announcement and song release of... someone. But I think at this point there is only one artist that makes sense now. I have seen the suggestion elsewhere that UK might drop last because Ukraine dropped first, symbolic as some sort of 'United In Music' idea which is cute... but Azerbaijan and Armenia are so unpredictable these days I don't think the UK delegation can rely on being the last to drop.
Of course, Friday 10th does raise the question of whether the BBC might want to avoid Loreen winning Melfest the next day, but I think these song releases are set in stone a few weeks before, I can't see a delay just because Loreen exists, after all she's going to be our main competition in Liverpool. The BBC will feel bullish after 2022 and I think dropping a song the day before Loreen will be proof of it.
We've already had a triple return of 2012 artists before so why notSeeing as we have two 2012 artists coming back the BBC is going to going to wheel out 86 year old Englebengle Humperdonk
While Lana is mother, I think her going to Eurovision would be very bad for me, because I will get a heart attack and miss the whole thing.
Would be really funny though if she competed with a song named Grandfather Please Stand on the Shoulders of My Father While He's Deep-Sea Fishing
The “and you may have too” makes me think it’s Frankenstein.
So that rules Birdy out
Or any of the 3 Mimi Webb songs that have been released since January. So many options!!The “and you may have too” makes me think it’s Frankenstein.
Who even is thatI think it’s looking more and more likely it will be Mae Muller. I hope the rest of the song is better than a generic bop.
