CLAM DOWN EVERYONE!

Last is totally FINE!

If the UK is going to win this it'll be because Molly NAILS the performance... that has to happen... and if (when - hopefully) it does having the anthemic COTU as the last song, just before lines open, will be GREAT! The song has to grab people to get them to vote... and the fresher it is when lines open the better!

Last slot doesn't seem too good IMO. People are already exhausted by then... Most of them have will have picked their favourites, namely during the semi finals where the UK hasn't performed.
I'm a bit gutted that most of the favourites were placed so early though. Does anyone know when was the last time a winner came from last slot, please?

Anyway it seems that non-Brits in here think this draw is beneficial so we're probably just being all British about it and making a fuss as usual for no reason xqueenbitch

Obviously the song would be an amazing show closer, on that note 26th is a good position, just not for winning.

Well it always was but their draw between two of the biggest shows, combined with the fact there are much better ballads almost confirms it to me

Do you really think Spain is between two of the biggest shows? IMO she's between two of the worst, neither Finland nor Switzerland will end in a good position next Saturday.

I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss at least Switzerland, they really put on a great show tonight. And Finland maybe not but it's a big song with good staging and it might make people bored with Spain

I don't really think Ruth's performance will be boring, at least it seems quite impressive in terms of production and voice. Anyway, I don't believe the public will be generous with Ruth at all (if with Pastora we were 18th with the publicm with Ruth so, so). It will depend on the juries to get a decent position.

I wouldn't want to Swap with Spain actually and be next to Switzerland. Two golden rains in a row. no.

Honestly I think the contest is as open as it's ever been in years. I really can't call anything anymore!!!

So just because nobody has won from last position in a while people are dismissing our chances. If everything was based on statistics, we'd have got first half as it has been first half one year / second half the next since like 2007.

Agreed on this. And while there is a chance we have a runaway winner, it seems massively unlikely. Hell, we could have a repeat of the 1998 vote!

I don't think my nerves could take it if the UK gets involved :?

Late draw is fine for countries came from semis. Not for the one most of people just about to meet. First impression and listening to it a couple of times during the week are different things.

Most people don't watch the semis...
